Kitty Kitty Boing Boing
the Happy Adventure in Puzzle Garden!
Has just been released on Steam! http://store.steampowered.com/app/519200/

It's pretty self-explanatory as to what sort of game it is. It's a puzzle platformer with some action elements. Here are some screenshots.. I created everything except the audio. Hope you like!

I'd want to see some more polish on the game itself before I vote for it.
The animations and soundwork is good, but the gameplay itself looks way slower-paced than it could be and outside of that pseudotetris level showcased in the trailer it doesn't really seem to have anything there to set it apart.
-
Looks really cool man, as it did when I saw it in slack! Voted for it :)
-
Nice!
Will vote. :y:
I fucking love this game.

Voted ;)

Looking great ;D
Voted, Good luck :y:

I agree with mysterymeat, the game looks nice and cute but the gameplay looks waay too slow. Looks like you have a consistent game already but I'd heavily consider making the gameplay more dynamic! upvoted, good luck :y:
-
I dig the sleepy pace.
Gets me in the mood.
But maybe add a Turbo Mode option for players that find it too slow.
The game could move at 1.5 speed and give the kitty sunglasses. 8)

Thanks everyone!
That's an interesting suggestion, PixelPiledriver. I like the idea of a Turbo mode option. I'll see if I can implement something like that.

Thanks for the support. I hope to have the game available on steam soon :)

I've been meaning to ask: did this start out from the standard EGA palette? At first glance I get a very strong EGA vibe, only on closer inspection do I notice the greater number of colours.
-
No, I didn't start with any preset palette. I just chose whichever colors I felt looked good.
That's interesting that you get an EGA vibe from it.
-
Gratz on the green man!
I look forward to crushing kitty puzzles. :)
-
So the game is pretty much done, but now I need a few people to test it.
I'm interested first in knowing how it runs on linux/osx , so if any steam users want to test my game on one or both of those, send me a message with your specs, etc.

Congrats man! amazing work :y:
-
Gratz!
Nice job man!
I'll be playing this over the weekend. ;)
-
Congratulations mate, I will buy as soon as my wallet allows. How was it making the game compatible with steam?
-
Wow this looks super neato, congratulations :D
-
Thanks everyone!
@Probo, the process was fairly straightforward. You don't have to do too much unless you want to use features offered with their steamworks api. Although there is a large checklist of things to do in order to get the store ready and your game builds setup in their system.
