To preface, this is heavily inspired by duelyst:

I can't seem to draw a lower body that matches the top. If anyone can point me in the right direction, i would greatly appreciate it.
I feel as though what i have so far is solid, but if you have any criticisms, i would still appreciate them.
Thanks.

You could try strapping a crystal to the back and just give it arms.
The way the bottom is rounded would lend it well to one of those magic floaty-style constructs!

Yeah, the rounded underside does give off that theme, but i'm not really going for it.
I think this might fix that problem:

Meanwhile, i am drawing him a ladyfriend and am having the same problem:

Hm, perhaps a slight mechanical look?
Work some brass or even wood in there, maybe those chicken legs mechassault uses? Heck if you want to get wild you could make 'em centaurs or some kind of Sleipnir multihorse thing

By the way thanks mysterymeat for taking your time to help me.

I tried all your suggestions (apart from centaur) and i found the wood like texture to be the best. Since it was wood, i feel the imperfect anatomy doesn't look too horrendous.
I really to appreciate all the help you have given me, it's my first time posting on this forum and one of my first attempts of pixelart. Thanks :y:

Hmm, try thickening the legs and arms, and lengthen the latter.
And no prob

Limbs need to be a lot larger and girthier(probably not a word w/e) for a big old golem. I personally think a quadruped type of design might look cool.
