I can't ever get this Boss monster's right arm to look correctly place.  The entire pose looks a bit stiff too and it is hard for me to distingish the space between his stomach and the top of his arm (lol very fat).  He is supposed to be slightly leaning to the right in a slight 3/4 view.  I'd like someone to help me with an edit. :)  Is there some sort of drawing procedure that can help me draw a pose correctly the first time?

This reminds me alot of Akira Toriyama's work, you might wanna look up some of his work. The only procedure I know of is this:

This is from Figure Drawing For All It's Worth by Andrew Loomis, there's a .pdf of it somewhere online(If you really need a copy, PM me and I'll send you it). Basically, you compose everything as simple shapes before you make into whatever it's going to be, for example, a human head would be an oval(Though you can make the structure a bit more complex so it's easier later on).

This reminds me of one of those monsters in dragon quest series.
Well here is a fast edit, hope it helps to at least give you an idea. Just wait for someone to give you some technical explanation :)

I know you're looking for help with the arms but I have to say that the "rhino horn" and the eyes read very badly at x1 zoom.  They blend together into what looks like a very odd visor.  Perhaps lower the horn a bit to seperate them?  Froli's edit seems to be going in the right direction although I think it should be possible to get the arm braced in the pose you had it somehow.

the face is fucked, look at my earlier edit.

head should also cast a shadow, and the shading on the stomach needs work.

This might just be me, but souldn't the colors of the tail be the other way around? I mean, the yellow part should keep going from his stomach to the downside of his tail, while the upper part shopuld be orange/beown like the rest of the body. It looks to be the other way around right now.

I liked the old face 100x more. It was oozing with character.

I'm moving from the place where I've lived the past 15 years. This edit is the last I'm doing in my good old chair.  :-[ (sorry for the OT)
Anyway. I've got to go to sleep now. I'll comment my edit from my new spot in a couple of days, if required.

I hope it helps!

Wow this is turning out to look very good although i think the right arm is a tad pointy at the end, and that the palette should be more red for a boss but thats just me. I think that right now it looks extremely good though.

No way!  I move out tomorrow morning too!  12 years here......This is my last post from this old chair :P

Fizz - good stuff, it's come a long way.  Steph's edit has some noise in places, but it also has a lot of good stuff to look at.  The arms make me think of WH40 Orks :P
