Lowpoly Soup

<< < (2/2)

AlexHW:
the texture on the bowl is at a different scale than the texture on the soup part(the pixels on the soup look larger than the pixels on the bowl), this inconsistency throws me off a bit. the same issue with some other parts too.. i think it would help if the pixels were same scale all over..
i know that on higher-res 3d work, people might use more pixels in specific areas such as the face of a character to help fit in more detail, but when the resolution is very small, it becomes too noticable and distracting.
other than that, it looks good.

madPXL: I was thinking about a smokepuff with alpha, but then I would need more texturespace and also a proper backdrop to make it work. Like a table cloth or something. Otherwise it would look a bit meh.

Alex: That's called Texels as in Texture Pixels. I know that the sizes are inconistant, Ideally I should have made the soup bigger on the texture and everything else a bit smaller. Can't be arsed to do that now tho. But I will try to keep it more consistent in future models.

Lawrence:
You should pop out the floating bits more, or just draw them into the main soup texture. The bowl's texture is taking up way more space than it needs, you could have it smaller and repeated over each edge ring.
