You guys gotta see this:

The Art of the Brick (http://www.brickartist.com/smaller-sculptures/master-chief.html)

Pixel art comes to life.

this stuff has always reminded me of Voxels than of low-poly, but i guess pixel voxels would be allowed in this part of the forum (even though nobody has done any...)

Hi.  First post.

Anyway, while you bring up the subject of real-world pixel art, I was wondering if any of you guys have tried porting your work to tile work (like bathrooms, table tops, etc)

Me, Snader and Brian (other pixel artists) have had a go with postits (http://www.pixeljoint.com/2008/05/17/2546/Pixl-it_for_leel.htm). It's pretty tough though, as you end up with very limited room on a wall (since they're pretty big for pixels) and a very limited palette.

I never really liked the look of this stuff... I can't say exactly why, but I just don't.

On the contrary Dusty, I think it looks pretty coo'. I've tried using graph paper and such to make small pixels, but they're nothing. What Lar and Snad etc did was awesome though, like this.
