This is a 100x100 pixel of my personal character. So far, I'm about halfway done. But I still think I could do a better job all-around. So if you could give me some good crits, that would be nice.

Yeah, im not even done shading yet.

You should have waited a little bit longer to post him, but whatever. It's your life.
And I don't think you should have cut his nose off.
-
Why does it have to be 100x100? Most forums with avatars resize the images sometimes. Why sacrifice poor yoshi's nose? But, the hat however, can use a little more tilting. There's a couple things you could do with it. Either move it over more to the right so it covers the eyes just a little bit, or turn it around the opposite direction. Both of which I don't think will hurt the image. Please try to finish his nose? Or shorten it a little. Nice palette by the way. One more highlight couldn't hurt on the darker brown I think.

I did listen to your advice, lengthened the hat, and gave it more of a highlight. Now I'm stuck on how I'm going to shade the nose.

one of the corners on the hat is all wrong, it's not even in the right place!
-
What do you mean by it's not in the right place?
-
it just looks.. weird.

Update,

Any suggestions?

I'm not really an established pixel artist but from what I see the bill of the hat needs to be larger, it just doesnt seem like the bill is in proper proportion to the rest of the hat.
-
Just a quick fix: on the very right side of the nose, there's a two-pixel thick black line. I don't know how noticeable it really is, but personally it bugs me.
Good work so far though, looks authentic. (And will look even more so when you're done with the shading on the nose! ;D)

Update, I need some constructive criticism,

The hat looks like it's made out of cardboard compared to the depth of Yoshi's head. Otherwise, nice update :y:
-
That's really something, CeeY. :D
2 problems I see:
hat
background
1: The hat's red parts should definetly be blinded in more. And it really looks like cardboard, just like Mush said. Maybe someone else can tell you how to fix that. (cuz I don't know)
2: The background is too dark. I hate when people make dark backgrounds. >:(
Let the sun shine in, and the peice will look better.
I don't think you've listened to peoples' advice on the hat too much. His head looks fine. His hat...CARDBOARD.
Until you decide to fix it, I'm calling you 'Cardboard Man'.

That blobby pattern on the yoshi is a bit distracting. It worked in the previous update rather nicely because it was balanced out by the unpatterned, work-in-progress part. I think you should try to achieve a little more of that balance.
-
I smoothed out the nose, but Im still stuck on how to shade the hat.

Here are my two cents.
I really think that hat is horrid.
The yoshi is pretty cool but the hat...
The perspective is off, he has an imaginary huge head in your version, or at least it looks like this at the angle the hat is on.
His cheek is also a bad gathering of banding.
banding is when 2 colors practically hug eachother.
This is an example of basically over AA, and banding.
Though I'm no guru on banding as I'm sure I actually did plenty of it in the edit I did for you.
You tried to smooth out that cheek line it seems and you over did it a bit much.
I made an edit though my cheek is rough you can see how I tried to break the solid lines.
Also, I noticed you jumped straight to textured nose before doing your volumes.
I'm wondering if you worked from a solid shaded sphere or if you just shoved the texture/shading on at the same time.

Thanks for the critique everyone :>
I tried to listen to everything Souly said. Now that I have the hat perspective correct, i need help on how to shade it. I still seems pretty plain to me, so can anyone help me. I also cleaned up some of the shading, and the nose.

I haven't had a lot of time to work on it these past few weeks, so I'm getting back to it now.

Looking good CeeY better then any pixel art I have ever done  small thing that might be part of yoshi might be a mistake
Its under the bill of the hat and left of his cheek there is a lump type red thing

I like what you're doing with his skin's texture--is it supposed to mimic scales? It could use some work though, especially the bright spots around his nostrils; they don't blend with the other spots to me.
The shading on the bottom on the hat gives it a tilted perspective--is it supposed to not fit over his all the way? Is it tipped to one side? If it's supposed to be straight on his head, take a look at Souly's edit and see how the hat sits on the Yoshi's head.
