This is the palette I've been working with (http://i.imgur.com/YcnT2yT.png) (32colors)
This is my progress so far..

I like how the first sprite (warrior guy) came out, but after finishing the tiles I think I got tired so I'm unhappy with the other 2 sprites, I'll probably take a break now.. I know there's some mistakes out there, but atm I can't really figure out what the mistakes are, hoping somebody would point them out or make a edit.. It would help a lot :)

Looks amazing! I think this is superb work already, so I'm just going to nitpick a bit.
The faces look a bit flat to me, would be nice to see some shadow beneath the hair. Also their eyes are quite square, would look better if they were a bit rounder.
The shading on the helm could use more depth.
The environment has awesome details and feeling, but it's a bit too straight and strict in it's overall shape. Would be nice if you had some perspective on the house so it's not as perfectly straight.
The green tunic guy should have his belt buckle offset to make it seem more like he's turned to the right.
I also love the bright blue colors of the swords guy, but how would that look inside a dungeon or a house?
Although a palette switch for inside/outside would be sweet :)

Regarding 1st sprite, is that a helmet or hair? Bit hard to tell. Especially the shine on his forehead is distracting.
If he's wearing metal pauldrons then they look good but I think you could do a stronger dark line to separate them from his shirt as it looks a bit blended.
Have more to say but gotta go...

I like how the blockiness has been slaked with the new details.
The only addition I see that seems off is that canopy on the left; the red and white striped one.. seems like the angle should be side-view.

I figured there would be a issue with the canopy, since I was thinking making it in a different angle than people would expect, just to break the stiff-ness that was previously pointed out..
I think the side view or front view for such tings are really common, I wanted it to be different, and I guess the way I did it doesn't work with the perspective
I figure it's a easy fix to change the angle, but I'd love to rather figure out how to keep it angled but working, there should definitely be a way and maybe somebody here could help :)
I'm not sure if this changes much, but I added support from the other side of canopy (I think this makes it clearer which side the canopy is facing)

Maybe if you made it cast a shadow, the perspective would be easier to understand.
It's still really confusing..
The house looks much better with those corner beams.
But the roof is still one huge block.
I played around with it a bit..

Is it tilebased or are you just making a scene?
Some of the shadows don't make as much sense if it's tilebased..
The beams beneath the roof look a bit weird, I thought shadow below would make them stick out more, but they still look quite flat.
Perhaps a size increase and making them bigger towards the top would help.

I don't like how empty you made the roof, so I didn't remove color from all the tiles, but part of them at bottom.. I don't really see point in that though :P

Considering you're using zero perspective on everything, you can rely on a definitive light source with stronger shadows to bring out the forms and add interest:

I would go further still with the roof to blend that curve out to say half way perhaps, just to give it character.
Avoiding perfect angles and such is part of the charm of this style of architecture IMO.

You could push the age difference to make them more unique.

But that could be too extreme if you want a more analogous character style.

@Decroded one thing though, if everything has a shadow like that, shouldn't the characters have shadows too ? I added the shadows on everything, thanks a lot for helping :)

I changed the color palette slightly (removed some colors that aren't supposed to be there but Idk how they got there - such as 15 transparent colors etc)
here is the edited color palette (I wasted a color on grey bg for PJ, since for some reason transparent color kept making plenty of different colors
