Ok, I'm sorry I haven't replied to the Clone Trooper Helmet post in a while, but I need to start working on my game before my cousin ships out to college

I made a sprite base for an rpg but I feel like it's way to similar to this: http://gas13.ru/v3/tutorials/sywtbapa_making_sprite.php (http://gas13.ru/v3/tutorials/sywtbapa_making_sprite.php)
Feedback would be helpful.

I prefer to work in odd number counts so i have an exact middle and when cell shading I don't receive an overdose of black pixels

Made M.U.G.E.N.'s Kung-Fu Man to show what I can do with the template (it's midnight when I'm posting this, so the shading is bad)

The contrast needs to be way higher. I mean I can barely tell that the base has different skin tones. (even if zoomed in)

Is there any problem with the general shape of the sprite though?
