Title: Just started GraphicsGale
Post by: Decroded on April 13, 2014, 02:29:01 am
Pretty sweet program.
A few things I'd like to know if anyone can help:

1) Perform layer operations across multiple frames? Things such as renaming, moving content etc. If perhaps there is a mode where I always have the same layers across all frames so this might work? Currently I have to do the same small thing many times for each frame.

2) Shortcut the transparency colour? In Photoshop I have E for Eraser.

3) Reduce opacity of Custom Grid?

Thanks  :y:

1. No, sadly. That's the single biggest flaw in GraphicsGale.
2. Yes. "Palette - Select Transparent Color as First Color" will do this if you assign a keyboard shortcut, but it won't toggle back.
3. No. Best you can do is pick less garish colours.

actually, so far I know you have to give a layer the same name for every frame. Then you can choose the layer, choose all the frames you want to have changed and you can move all of them up or down.

yeah if you name the layers the same for every frame, you can change some stuff for every frame. name, transparent colour, opacity. Im using an old version though there, may be more now.

edit: also i assume 'reverse visibility with the same name' lets you hide that layer on every frame, or make it visible. never used it actually!

just checked, it does do that :)

ooo thanks guys.
That was just useful for renaming a new layer I added across all frames  :y:

I can't figure out how to shift a layer by a few pixels across multiple frames though that would be nice.
If anyone knows how to do that it would be much appreciated.

im afraid i dont know how to do that, i dont think you can. you can scroll all layers at the same time in all frames with All Frames > Scroll, but other than that..

could i ask what youre doing?
