If you haven’t checked the patch notes lately, you’re probably still thinking there are only eight or nine of these massive towers. Honestly, things have moved fast. Ninja Kiwi has been on a tear. As of early 2026, there are exactly 12 paragons in BTD6.
That’s a dozen screen-clearing, boss-shredding behemoths.
If you just got back into the game after a year-long break, your old strategies are basically obsolete. You’ve got new towers like the Desperado and the Mermonkey to deal with, but the real heavy hitters are the Paragons. Getting just one is a grind. Getting all 12 in a single freeplay run? That's a logistical nightmare that requires some serious farming.
Every Single BTD6 Paragon in the Game Right Now
Keeping track of these is getting harder. They don't just drop every month. It’s a slow burn. Usually, we see one every couple of major updates. Here is the current roster that you'll find in your monkey sub-menus:
- Apex Plasma Master (Dart Monkey)
- Glaive Dominus (Boomerang Monkey)
- Ascended Shadow (Ninja Monkey)
- Navarch of the Seas (Monkey Buccaneer)
- Master Builder (Engineer Monkey)
- Goliath Doomship (Monkey Ace)
- Magus Perfectus (Wizard Monkey)
- Nautic Siege Core (Monkey Sub)
- Mega Massive Munitions Factory (Spike Factory)
- Crucible of Steel and Flame (Tack Shooter)
- Ballistic Obliteration Missile Bunker (Bomb Shooter)
- Herald of Everfrost (Ice Monkey)
The Herald of Everfrost is the newest addition, arriving with the massive Update 52.0. It basically turned the late-game meta on its head. It doesn’t just freeze Bloons; it applies a "Snowstorm Roar" debuff that makes everything take massive extra damage.
The Recent Additions: Why 12 is the Magic Number
For a long time, the community was stuck waiting. We had the "original" set, then a long gap. But throughout 2025, Ninja Kiwi picked up the pace.
We saw the Mega Massive Munitions Factory (the Spike Factory paragon) change the way we handle the end of the track. Then came the Ballistic Obliteration Missile Bunker (Bomb Shooter) in Update 51.0, which, let’s be real, is just a giant pile of explosions that makes the screen unreadable.
The Ice Paragon, Herald of Everfrost, was the big 2025 holiday release. It’s weird because it’s not just a damage dealer. It has this "Eclipse of Fimbulwinter" ability that can actually freeze Boss Bloons. Imagine stopping a Phayze or a Vortex dead in its tracks. It's broken in the best way possible.
How many paragons are there in BTD6 for each category?
If you're trying to balance your buffs, you need to know the distribution. It's not perfectly even, which drives some completionists crazy.
- Primary: 5 (Dart, Boomer, Tack, Bomb, Ice)
- Military: 3 (Buccaneer, Ace, Sub)
- Magic: 2 (Ninja, Wizard)
- Support: 2 (Engineer, Spike Factory)
The Primary category is definitely the most "crowded" right now. People have been screaming for a Sniper Paragon or a Druid Paragon for years. It's coming, eventually. Ninja Kiwi has hinted at an "Archer Tower" and more Magic paragons in their 2026 roadmap, but for now, if you love Primary monkeys, you’re eating good.
What People Get Wrong About Paragon Counts
There’s a lot of misinformation on old Reddit threads. You’ll see people talking about the "Vengeful True Sun God" (VTSG) as a paragon.
It isn't.
Technically, the VTSG is a 5-5-5 Super Monkey, but the game doesn't treat it as a Paragon. It doesn't have a "Degree." It doesn't use the Paragon power system. While it's arguably stronger than some low-degree Paragons, it doesn't count toward that total of 12.
Also, don't get confused by mods. If you see a video of a "Boxer Paragon" or a "Glue Paragon" that looks like a giant vat of chemicals, that's almost certainly a mod. They look cool, but they won't help you in a ranked Boss Event.
The Cost of Power
Knowing how many there are is one thing. Actually getting them is another.
To get all 12 on the map, you’re looking at millions of in-game dollars. The Navarch of the Seas alone will set you back roughly $500,000 to $600,000 depending on your difficulty settings. If you want a Degree 100 Paragon, you’re going to need Gerlado’s Totems or a massive amount of sacrifice.

It's a lot.
Most players will never see all 12 on screen at once unless they are playing on a map like "Three Times 'Round" or "Logs" with some heavy-duty Banana Central farming. The lag alone at that point is enough to melt a phone.
What’s Next for the Paragon Count?
Ninja Kiwi usually targets 3 to 4 Paragons a year. If they keep this rhythm, we might see the Sniper or the Alchemist by mid-2026. There are still 13 towers left without a Paragon (including the new Desperado and Mermonkey).
If you're planning a deep freeplay run, focus on the Navarch and the Goliath Doomship first. They have the best utility for their price. The newer ones like the Ballistic Obliteration Missile Bunker are fun, but they are pure raw damage and can sometimes be redundant if you already have a high-degree Ace.
To stay ahead, make sure you're stockpiling Monkey Money and grinding XP for the towers that don't have Paragons yet. When the Sniper Paragon inevitably drops, you’re going to want that 500,000+ XP ready to go on day one.
Keep your farms efficient and your defense tight. 12 is just the beginning.
Actionable Insights for Your Next Run:
- Prioritize the Ice Paragon (Herald of Everfrost) in Boss events to nullify Boss skull activations.
- Don't over-invest in Primary Paragons if you lack Support; a Master Builder (Engineer) buffing your other towers is often worth more than a fifth Primary damage dealer.
- Check your "Total Tower XP" now. If you have less than 1 million XP on the Sniper, Glue Gunner, or Druid, start using them in your daily challenges to prepare for the next release.
