Getting the Platinum in Hell is Us is a bit of a trip. It's not because the combat is impossibly hard—though that stamina-linked health bar will definitely ruin your afternoon if you’re reckless—but because the game fundamentally hates holding your hand. There is no map. There are no quest markers. If you want to find a collectible, you actually have to, you know, look at the world.
Honestly, it’s refreshing. But for a trophy hunter, it’s a nightmare of "did I miss that one NPC back in the forest?"
Most people going for the Hero of Hadea trophy (that's the Platinum, for the uninitiated) think they can just steamroll the story and clean up later. You can’t. Not entirely. While the game lets you reload your save after the credits to explore, several "Good Deeds" and NPC interactions are strictly tied to story beats. If you move the plot forward before helping that one guy with the violin, he’s gone. Poof. Platinum run dead.
The hell is us trophy guide: roadmap to 100%
You’re looking at about 30 to 40 hours for the 100% completion. If you’re fast and use a guide for the puzzles, you might shave that down to 25. But why rush? The atmosphere in Hadea is the best part.
There are 41 trophies in total. 26 Bronze, 10 Silver, 4 Gold, and the Plat. No difficulty trophies here. You can play on the easiest setting if you just want the digital silverware, but even then, the environment is your real enemy.
Stage 1: The "No Regrets" Playthrough
Your main goal is to finish all 26 Good Deeds. These are basically the game’s side quests, but they don't show up in a neat little log. You have to listen to NPCs and actually follow through. Specifically, keep an eye on Man of the People and Ever After.
The Ever After trophy is the one that breaks most people. You have to ensure every possible NPC ends up at Lake Cynon. This requires finishing specific Good Deeds (like #12, "Man's Best Friend") before you hit major plot points in Act 2, specifically before Jaffer and Rebecca leave for Pathem Abbey. If the dog doesn't show up at the lake, you’re replaying the whole game.
Stage 2: The Cleanup
Once Act 3 is done, the game puts you back in the world. Now you can hunt the remaining 43 Mysteries and 29 Relics. This is also when you should tackle Legend of the Phol. This trophy requires you to close all 14 Timeloops and then—this is the annoying part—manually hunt down every single remaining "Hollow" enemy in every region. You’ll know a region is clear when the map menu says "Threats: Clear" in green text.
Why "Man of the People" is the real gatekeeper
You’ll see a lot of talk about the combat variants, like the Haze of Rage or Haze of Grief. Don't sweat those. You’ll fight all three tiers of every Haze variant just by playing through the story and closing Timeloops. The real challenge is the Good Deeds.
Hadea is a place defined by "Good Deeds" that often feel like small, tragic vignettes.
- Good Deed #3 (Land of Milk and Honey): You find a woman in a basement in Jova. She needs milk. You have to take empty bottles to Ernest back in Senedra Forest, get them filled, and bring them back. If you wait too long, well, the outcome isn't great, and the trophy won't pop.
- Good Deed #22 (Incognito): This one involves finding women's clothing in a parking garage and giving it to an ON soldier. It's weird, it's missable, and it’s tucked away in a corner of the map you have no reason to visit.
Basically, if an NPC tells you a story or mentions a problem, do it immediately. Don't say "I'll come back later." In Hell is Us, later usually means everyone is dead.
Solving the "Pen and Paper" puzzles
Jonathan Jacques-Belletête, the creative director, wasn't kidding when he said this game uses "player plattering." You actually have to think.
Take the Watcher’s Nest emblem puzzle or the Blacksmith’s door code. The game won't give you a prompt. You have to find a note, read it, and maybe even look at the architecture of the building to find the numbers. For the Ministry of Cultural Primacy safe, for instance, there’s a clue about "time moving backwards." If you ignore the assistant's dialogue, you'll be staring at that safe for an hour.
Collectibles at a glance
- Relics (29): Needed for Antiquarian. Many are inside Vaults of Forbidden Knowledge.
- Drone Modules (16): You only need 8 unique ones for Tech-Savvy.
- Glyphs (75): These are your combat abilities. You need one of each unique type (25 total) for Emotional Warfare.
- Research Items (45): Give these to Tania in the APC. This is how you unlock the lore trophies like War Correspondent and Historian.
Combat and the "Legend of the Phol" grind
The combat is... specific. Your health and stamina are the same thing. If you're at low health, you can't swing your sword as much. It’s brutal.
To get the Legend of the Phol gold trophy, you have to be a bit of a janitor.

- Close all 14 Timeloops using Amine Prisms.
- Once a loop is closed, enemies stop respawning in that area.
- Hunt down every straggler.
Some players report this trophy being a bit finicky. Make sure you check the APC map frequently. If a region doesn't say "Threats: Clear," there is a pale, creepy monster hiding in a bush somewhere. Find it. Kill it.
Practical next steps for your Platinum run
Don't just wander aimlessly. Hadea is designed to make you feel lost, which is cool for immersion but terrible for trophies.
- Talk to everyone twice. Use the Lend an Ear trophy as an excuse to exhaust every dialogue tree.
- Check your Research Items with Tania constantly. Not only does it give you trophies, but she actually provides the solutions for the Vaults of Forbidden Knowledge.
- Wear the hats. There are 10 baseball caps hidden in the game for the Passion for Fashion trophy. They do absolutely nothing for your stats, but they look hilarious in a grim-dark war zone.
- Prioritize the "Ever After" NPCs. Before you finish Act 2, make sure the dog and the key NPCs (like the ones from the "Asunder" and "Man's Best Friend" quests) are safely headed toward Lake Cynon.
If you hit a wall with a specific door code or can't find the last Haze variant, remember that the game is built on observation. Look at the graffiti. Listen to the wind chimes. The answer is usually right in front of you, the game just refuses to put a yellow arrow over it.
Total completion is a test of patience more than skill. But honestly? Seeing that "Threats: Clear" message across the whole map of Hadea is one of the most satisfying feelings in gaming this year. Just keep your notebook handy. You're going to need it.
