Epic Games just dropped a massive chunk of content. Honestly, if you haven't logged in yet, the Fortnite August 26 update patch notes are basically a love letter to 2000s alt-rock fans and anime stans alike. We're looking at the v37.10 build, which officially kicks off the first major milestone of Chapter 6 Season 4.
It's a lot.
The headline act is the Gorillaz taking over Fortnite Festival Season 10. But for the Battle Royale purists, the real meat is in the loot pool shifts and the long-awaited arrival of the One Punch Man collaboration. Let's get into what actually changed on the island.
The Big Loot Pool Shake-up
Epic decided to vault the Queen Bug Medallions. If you were getting used to that specific meta, it's gone. To replace the gap, they’ve introduced some wild new toys.
- The Roly Poly: It's a bug-inspired mount. You can roll, bounce, and hit a speed burst to traverse the map. It feels a bit like the old Ballers but with more... legs?
- Hammerhead Choppa: This isn't just a regular helicopter. It can hover in mid-air, allowing the pilot to switch seats and man a cannon without the whole thing crashing into the dirt immediately.
- Exotic Shockwave Launcher: This is the direct replacement for the standard Shockwave Launcher. The twist? The grenades it fires actually slow down enemies and allies mid-air.
The Fortnite August 26 update patch notes also confirm the addition of the Precision Airstrike. You can target a specific area and watch a series of bomb strikes flatten buildings. It’s basically a "delete structure" button for those pesky end-game towers.

One Punch Man Arrives
Saitama is finally here. Starting August 27 at 8 PM ET, the shop is going to be flooded with One Punch Man gear. We're talking Genos, Tatsumaki, and Saitama himself.
But it’s not just skins.
There is a new Saitama Medallion. If you claim a Capture Point on the island, you get this thing, and it lets you eliminate enemies with your pickaxe in a single hit. One punch, indeed. It sounds broken, but since everyone can see you on the map when you hold it, it’s a high-risk play.
Festival Season 10: Plastic Beach Vibes
For the rhythm game grinders, the Gorillaz have landed. The Main Stage has been completely overhauled with a "concrete jungle" aesthetic—think towering skyscrapers, street trains, and heavy graffiti.

The Music Pass (which goes for 1,400 V-Bucks) features Russel and Murdoc. You get Russel immediately, but you'll have to grind the pass to the end to grab Murdoc. Noodle and 2D are heading straight to the Item Shop along with the "DARE" emote.
They also added some quality-of-life stuff to Festival:
- Lift Note Connectors: A new visual design that makes it easier to see when to press and release. You can toggle this off in the settings if you hate it.
- Music Library Sorting: You can finally sort by song duration or intensity. No more scrolling forever to find a quick track.
- Strumming Calibration: You can now strum during the tune-up process to test your guitar controller.
Ballistic and Creative Updates
The "Ballistic" mode got its v37.10 update too. The Hammer Fall map is now "art-complete," meaning the grey boxes are gone and replaced with a full castle, stained glass, and statues.
New weapons for Ballistic:

- Veiled Precision SMG: Low recoil, high reward for headshots.
- Deployable Wall: A gadget you throw to instantly create cover or gain high ground.
Over in Creative and UEFN, the Front Man from Squid Game has been added as an NPC and a guard cosmetic. This follows the Gamescom reveal. Creators can now use the "Hiding Prop Gallery" to swap the classic Port-a-Potty mesh for a Military model, which is a weirdly specific but welcome change.
Fixes and Minor Tweaks
Let's talk bugs. We've all been there—sliding into a fight and then realizing your gun won't fire. That's supposedly fixed now.
Epic also addressed:
- Outfits obstructing vision (finally).
- The "invisible hands" bug when spectating players defusing the Rift Point Device.
- The Machine Pistol using SMG wrap settings instead of Pistol settings.
- Frame rate drops when planting the Rift Point Device.
They also nerfed the sound volume of the Impulse Grenade. It was apparently blowing out eardrums.
What You Should Do Now
The meta is shifting fast. If you're looking to win tonight, here's the play:
- Hunt the Saitama Medallion: It's located at Capture Points. Even if you don't use the pickaxe buff, the shield regen is worth the target on your back.
- Master the Choppa: The hover mechanic is a game-changer for solo players. You can rain fire from above and then hop back into the pilot seat before you lose too much altitude.
- Check the Item Shop: If you're a mobile player, there's a free skin available to claim starting this week.
- Explore Hammer Fall: If you play Ballistic, the new paths through B-Main and the added cover at Site A change the rotation entirely.
The red cube near Paradise Palms in the OG mode is also acting up. Shoot it. It'll rift you into the air, which is great for escaping a bad situation or just seeing the map from a new angle before the "epic finale" hits next month.
