Finding the Infinity Nikki Danqing Photo Locations Everyone is Missing

Honestly, Danqing Island is probably the most visually stunning region we’ve seen in Infinity Nikki so far. It’s got that ink-wash painting aesthetic that makes every screenshot look like high-end concept art. But if you’re trying to wrap up your Yin Yuan Album, you've likely realized that some of these photo spots are a total pain to track down. Some are tied to quests, while others require you to literally jump between dimensions—or at least between the present and the past versions of the island.

The game doesn't always hold your hand with these. You might be standing in the right area, but if your camera angle is off by two inches, the "capture" prompt won't trigger. It's frustrating. Let's break down exactly where these infinity nikki danqing photo locations are hiding so you can get those rewards and move on to the next styling challenge.

The Yin Yuan Album: Why You Can't Find All 10

Most players get stuck because the first few photos are basically "freebies" from the main story, while the later ones require manual legwork in the Inkrealm.

If you haven't finished the Ink-Woven Tales questline, don't even bother looking for photos 7 through 10 yet. The game locks the necessary areas—like the Loong Pagoda interior—until the narrative allows Nikki to enter.

The "Automatic" Story Photos (1-4)

You don't need a map for these. As you play through the 1.8 update’s main story, the game will automatically snap these during cutscenes. This happens when Nikki transforms into her Dragon outfit for the first time, when she meets Miss Bai in her Loong form, and during the final moments in Danqing Village. If you’ve finished the main plot, check your album; they should already be there.

Tracking Down the Manual Spots

This is where it gets tricky. You have to physically go to these spots and pull out Momo’s Camera.

Photo 5: Boat in the Mist

You’re looking for a scenic raft shot. You can find rafts all over the island’s waterways, but the most reliable spot is near the main docks.

  • The Trick: You have to actually be on the raft.
  • Camera Check: Open the camera and wait for the system to detect both Nikki and the raft. A gold box should appear around the subject. If it doesn't, try hopping off and back on again to reset the detection.

Photo 6: Glimpse of the Fan Egret

These birds are everywhere, but they’re skittish. You’ll find a high concentration of them near the shallow ponds on the east side of the island.

  • Pro Tip: Use the Grooming ability if you have it. It prevents them from flying away when you get close.
  • Alternative: Just use the zoom on your camera. As long as the Fan Egret is clearly in the frame with Nikki, the "Visit Reminder" notification should pop up under your mini-map.

The Inkrealm and Time-Travel Locations

Photos 7 and 8 are unique because they require you to switch the map view to the past version of Danqing Island. You’ll see a button on the right side of your map screen to toggle this.

Photo 7 & 8: Bamboo’s Reflection and Skyward Waterfall

These two are basically a "two-for-one" deal if you position yourself correctly.

  1. Teleport to the Inkrealm Scroll: Ink Pool warp point.
  2. Head north to the wooden Pavilion that overlooks the water.
  3. Stand by the book on the table inside the pavilion.
  4. The Angle: Face the waterfall. You need the Ink Pool (the water below) and the Skyward Waterfall (the falling water in the background) in the same shot.
  5. Wait for the gold labels "Bamboo’s Reflection" and "Skyward Waterfall" to appear before hitting the shutter.

Photo 9: A Narrow Strip of Sky

This is the one that has everyone searching Reddit. It’s located at the Loong Peak Summit.

  • Teleport to the Summit Warp Spire.
  • Walk across the wooden bridge over the water.
  • Look up. You need to frame the "gap" between the two massive mountain peaks where the sky is visible.
  • Correction: Many people try to take this from the ground. You must be on the bridge. Stand near Mo Zhu and point the camera toward the waterfall area where the peaks converge.

Photo 10: Truth within the Scroll

This is the final piece of the puzzle. You cannot get this until you finish the random quest The Fading of Painting, which unlocks the "Journey Back to Loong Pagoda."

  • Go to the Loong Pagoda Warp Spire.
  • Walk through the main doors (they’ll finally be interactable).
  • Inside, there is a massive, glowing Giant Scroll behind the central area.
  • Pose Nikki in front of it and take the shot.

What Most People Get Wrong

The biggest mistake? Forgetting to hit the Upload button. In Infinity Nikki, just taking the photo isn't enough to mark it as "complete" in your Expedition Handbook or event page. After you snap the picture, you have to click the gold upload icon on the right side of the screen.

Another common issue is the Dragon Outfit. For some of the high-altitude photos on Loong Peak, having the Dragon outfit equipped makes movement much easier, though players have successfully "hacked" their way up using the bike or creative jumping.

Getting Your Rewards

Once you’ve cleared these infinity nikki danqing photo locations, head to the Danqing Treasures shop. You can exchange your gathered Whim Jades and Jade Souls with Zhou Suchan. If you’ve done everything right, you’ll also unlock the Sketch: Old Illusions and several rare hair accessories.

Don't forget to check the Heart of Infinity menu as well. Completing the full album often triggers a completion reward that isn't immediately obvious in the overworld.

If you're still missing a location, double-check your map for the "Visit Reminder" notification. It’s a small, white text box that appears just below the mini-map whenever you are standing within 50 meters of a valid photo spot. If that box isn't there, you aren't in the right place yet.

Next Steps for Stylists:

  1. Open your map and toggle to the Danqing Realm (Past) to see if you've unlocked the Ink Pool warp point.
  2. Check your quest log for The Fading of Painting; if it's not there, you need to talk to the NPCs in Danqing Village to trigger the Pagoda's interior unlock.
  3. Ensure your camera settings are on "Default" if the detection boxes aren't appearing—sometimes custom filters can mess with the game's auto-detection of landmarks.
