You've probably been grinding for hours in the Second Sea, hovering around the Kingdom of Rose, wondering why on earth a legendary warrior is asking you to go pick flowers. It feels a bit silly. You're a high-level pirate or marine with powers that can shake the ocean, yet here you are, playing botanist. But if you want to unlock the true potential of your race, specifically the v2 awakening, you have no choice. You need those flowers. Specifically, the red, blue, and yellow ones.
Let’s be real: the flower quest is one of the most frustrating bottlenecks for mid-game players. It’s not hard because the enemies are tough. It’s hard because the spawn mechanics are finicky, and if you die with a flower in your inventory, it’s gone. Poof. Back to square one. Most people call them fire flowers blox fruits or just "the flower quest," but regardless of the name, the mechanics are strict. You need 500,000 Beli, you need to have completed the Colosseum Quest, and you need a lot of patience.
Why the Flower Quest is the Gatekeeper of the Second Sea
Alchemist is a picky guy. He lives in a mushroom house near the Fajita boss spawn in the Green Zone, and he won’t even talk to you unless you’ve already dealt with the Swan Pirates. That's the first hurdle. People often rush to him at level 850 and get confused when he ignores them. You’ve gotta talk to Bartilo in the Cafe first. Once that's done, the Alchemist gives you the task.
This isn't just about a cosmetic upgrade. Moving from v1 to v2 changes everything about how your character plays. If you're a Human, you get more dashes. If you're a Mink, you become a speed demon. Skybreed? You get more flight/jump stamina. Fishmen get better water defense. But you can't have any of it until you track down these three specific items.
Hunting the Blue Flower: The Night Shift
The Blue Flower is the one that ruins everyone’s sleep schedule. Why? Because it only spawns at night. The second the sun starts peeking over the horizon in the game world, the Blue Flower despawns. If you find it and the sun comes up before you turn it in? It vanishes from your inventory. It's brutal.

There are a few specific spots you need to check, and honestly, the best way to do it is to have a fast flight fruit like Light or Magma. Check Cave Island first. You have to go through a tiny hole in the ceiling of the cave to find the secret grassy area inside. If it’s not there, head over to Graveyard Island. This is the most common spot. Look under the trees and behind the gravestones. If you still strike out, check the "Useless" houses on the remote islands near the edge of the map.
Sometimes people think the game is glitched because they check all the spots and find nothing. Usually, it's just because another player got there first. In a public server, you are competing with every other person on the v2 quest. If you have access to a private server, use it. It makes this ten times easier.
The Red Flower: Daytime Gardening
If the Blue Flower is the night owl, the Red Flower is the sun worshiper. It only appears during the day. Thankfully, the red one stays in your inventory if the sun goes down, unlike the blue one’s disappearing act.
The Red Flower likes to hide in plain sight. Check the bushes near the Swan Pirates in the Kingdom of Rose. Specifically, look around the red-roofed houses and the stone walls. It also spawns in the Green Zone, often hidden behind the giant beanstalks or near the Marine Lieutenant spawns. I’ve found that the best strategy is to do the Red Flower first because the daytime cycle feels longer, giving you more breathing room to travel back to the Green Zone.

The Yellow Flower: The Only One You Can't "Find"
This is where players get stuck. You can run around the entire map for three hours and you will never find a Yellow Flower sitting on the ground. It doesn't spawn that way.
The Yellow Flower is a drop. You have to kill NPCs to get it.
The drop rate is roughly 10%, though it feels like 1% when you're in a hurry. You can farm almost any NPC in the Second Sea, but the Swan Pirates are the go-to choice. They are grouped up, easy to AOE (Area of Effect) down, and close to the Cafe. Just keep cycling through them. Don't get discouraged if the first twenty don't drop anything. It’s a numbers game. Some players swear that the NPCs on Fajita’s mountain have a better drop rate, but there’s no hard data to back that up; it’s likely just RNG being RNG.
Keeping the Flowers Safe (The Part Everyone Screws Up)
Here is the most important rule: Do not die.

If you have two flowers and a bounty hunter decides to test their new combo on you, you lose the flowers. If you fall into the ocean and you aren't a Fishman, you lose the flowers. If you reset your character, you lose the flowers.
Because of this, I highly recommend getting the Yellow Flower first. Since it’s a drop, you can do it whenever. Then, wait for the appropriate time of day for whichever flower (Red or Blue) is currently available. Once you have all three, do not stop to chat. Do not go look at the Fruit Dealer. Dash straight to the Green Zone.
Actionable Steps for a Successful Awakening
To get this done in one sitting, follow this specific flow:
- Confirm the Prep: Ensure you have 500k Beli and the Bartilo quest is 100% finished. If the Alchemist doesn't give you the flower dialogue, you aren't ready.
- Farm the Yellow First: Go to the Swan Pirates. Use your best AOE moves. Don't move on until that yellow icon is in your hotbar.
- Check the Clock: If it’s night, go for Blue immediately. Use the Cave Island hole or Graveyard Island. If it’s day, sweep the Kingdom of Rose bushes for the Red.
- The Final Sprint: Once you have the third flower, set your spawn to the Kingdom of Rose if it isn't already. Use a movement-based fruit or fighting style to reach the Alchemist in the Green Zone.
- The Upgrade: Talk to the Alchemist, pay the 500k, and your race will instantly evolve. You'll see the notification in the chat, and your passive buffs will kick in immediately.
If you happen to find a flower before you've officially started the quest from the Alchemist, it won't let you pick it up. You must have the quest active. Also, keep in mind that if you switch your race later (using fragments or a code), you will have to do this whole process again for the new race. It’s not a "one and done" for the whole account, just for that specific race.
The fire flowers blox fruits quest is a rite of passage. It's the moment you stop being a "noob" in the Second Sea and start building a real build. Get the yellow one, watch the clock for the blue and red, and stay away from high-bounty players until the deal is done.
