You’ve probably been there. You finish the epilogue, the credits roll, and suddenly the massive world of the American West feels a little bit emptier. It’s a heavy feeling. Rockstar Games designed it that way, honestly. But for those of us pushing for that elusive 100% completion or the Paying Respects trophy, there’s one final task that feels more like a pilgrimage than a chore: finding rdr2 all grave locations.
It’s not just about ticking a box in a menu. Visiting these sites is a gut-punch of nostalgia. You’re standing over the remains of characters you spent 60+ hours with, people who fought, argued, and eventually fell apart. Some are buried in beautiful, sun-drenched spots. Others are tucked away in the freezing mud of the mountains. If you’re looking for them, you’ll need to wait until the Epilogue, because a few of these graves don't even exist until the very end of the game.

Where the Journey Ends: The Nine Graves
There are nine specific graves you need to find. Most players miss at least one because they’re spread across the map from the snowy peaks of Ambarino down to the humid marshes of Lemoyne.
1. Jenny Kirk
Jenny is a name you hear a lot in Chapter 1 but never actually see. She died during the escape from Blackwater. To find her, you’ve gotta head to the far north of Ambarino, specifically Spider Gorge. Follow the river north through the snow. Her grave is tucked on a small bank on the east side of the water. It’s a lonely, cold spot for someone so young.
2. Davey Callander
Davey is the guy you see dying on the back of the wagon in the opening cinematic. He’s buried right in Colter, the abandoned mining town where you start the game. Look behind the ruined church in the small graveyard there. His is the one with the most stones piled on it. It’s easy to find if you’re already up north for Jenny.

3. Sean McGuire
Our favorite loud-mouthed Irishman. Sean’s death in Rhodes was the first time the game really told us, "Hey, nobody is safe." His grave is north of Clemens Point. If you head north from the old camp along the shoreline, you’ll find him under a cluster of trees overlooking Flat Iron Lake. It’s actually a pretty peaceful spot for such a chaotic guy.
4. Kieran Duffy
Poor Kieran. He spent half his time with the gang being threatened and the other half trying to prove he wasn't a "damn O'Driscoll." His final resting place is east of Braithwaite Manor, right near Bolger Glade. Look for a quiet meadow. It’s a simple wooden cross.
5 & 6. Hosea Matthews and Lenny Summers
This one hurts. These two are buried side-by-side, which is fitting given they died during the same disastrous bank heist. You’ll find them in Lemoyne, just east of Lagras and north of Saint Denis. They are under a massive tree near the coastline. You have to interact with both headstones separately for the game to register them.
7. Eagle Flies
Eagle Flies wasn't technically a gang member, but he’s a massive part of the story's tragic end. His grave is located on a cliffside overlooking Donner Falls in Ambarino. Look for the splash of color—his sash is tied to a branch marking the spot. It’s arguably the most scenic grave in the game.
8. Susan Grimshaw
The matriarch. Susan kept that camp running with an iron fist and a shotgun. After Micah killed her in the final standoff, she was buried on a steep hill in New Hanover. Specifically, it's between the "V" and "E" of "Hanover" on your map, southwest of the Elysian Pool. It’s a bit of a climb, but the view of the valley is incredible.

9. Arthur Morgan
The big one. Arthur’s grave location is the most important for many players. It sits on a high mountain ledge northeast of Bacchus Station.
Here’s the thing: the appearance of Arthur’s grave actually changes based on your Honor level when you finished the game.
- High Honor: The grave is covered in vibrant flowers and looks well-maintained.
- Low Honor: The grave is weathered, plain, and lacks the floral tribute.
Regardless of your honor, the spot overlooks the world Arthur tried to navigate, and it’s a required stop for that 100% completion mark.
Why These Locations Actually Matter for 100% Completion
A lot of people think 100% completion in RDR2 is just about the missions. It’s not. The "Total Completion" tab in your Progress menu has a "Miscellaneous" section, and visiting these nine graves is a hard requirement. If you’re at 99.1% and can't figure out what's missing, it's probably because you forgot to "Pay Respects" to Davey or Jenny.
Interestingly, some players claim they hear ghostly whispers of the deceased characters when they visit these sites at night. Whether that’s a real audio easter egg or just the wind in the trees is up for debate, but it adds a layer of eerie realism to the "ghosts" of the Van der Linde gang.

Common Mistakes People Make
Don't just ride past them. You must see the prompt to "Pay Respects." If John (or Arthur, for the early ones) doesn't stop and look, it hasn't counted. Also, remember that you cannot find Arthur, Susan, or Eagle Flies until you are playing as John in the Epilogue. The game physically won't let you complete the list earlier.
Also, don't confuse these with the "Points of Interest." While some graves, like the ones for Arthur’s family (Eliza and Isaac), exist in the world, they are not part of the nine required for the trophy. Stick to the gang members and Eagle Flies.
