Finding every Mossberry in Silksong: Why people are missing the 7th one

So you're running around Pharloom, trying to satisfy the Moss Druid's appetite, and you realize those glowing green fruits aren't just everywhere. Honestly, most players stumble onto the first two and think, "Oh, this is easy," only to spend the next three hours hitting every wall in Bone Bottom. It's frustrating.

Mossberries are basically the "fetch quest" currency of the early game, but they actually matter for your build. If you want the Druid’s Eye—that blue Crest that bleeds silk when you take a hit—you need these. Most guides talk about the first three for the "Berry Picking" Wish, but there are actually seven in total if you want the upgraded version of the amulet and a fat stack of Rosaries.

Let's break down where these things are hiding.

The Moss Grotto Starter Pack

You’ll find the first few berries before the game even really gets hard. They’re mostly there to teach you that Hornet has way more verticality than the Knight ever did.

The first Mossberry is in the very first area after you crawl out of the cage. Look for the spot where two moss grubs are feeding on the ground. Don't just run past them like I did. Back up, climb the rock incline to the top right, and it’s just sitting there on a platform. Simple.

For the second Mossberry, you're going to have to pogo. It's in that massive room on the right side of the Grotto, hanging from a ceiling that’s just a bit too high. You have to time a downward strike on the flying moss enemy to bounce yourself upward. If you kill the bug before you jump, you’re out of luck and have to reset at a bench.

Sneaky Spots in Mosshome and Bone Bottom

Once you hit the settlement of Bone Bottom and meet the Moss Druid, the game stops handing them to you.

  • Under the Druid: Exit the Druid’s hut, drop down one level, and immediately look at the right-hand wall. There’s a "fake" wall covered in vines. Walk through it to find a hidden room where a lone bug is carrying the third Mossberry.
  • The Bone Bottom Ceiling: Look directly under the "Bone Bottom" label on your map. There’s a bug with a green glow in its mouth hanging out near the ceiling. You’ll need to use the nearby platforms to get an angle on it.
  • The Elevator Drop: Near the lift that takes you to the higher levels of Bone Bottom, there’s a bug flying around the lower area. It’s carrying the fifth Mossberry. Pro tip: if you kill it while it's over a pit, the berry falls with you.

The Ones Everyone Misses (Act 2 and 3)

If you’re stuck at five or six berries, it’s probably because the last ones are locked behind abilities or specific story triggers. This is where most people get "soft-locked" out of the 100% completion for this quest because they progress too fast.

The sixth Mossberry is tucked away in Weavenest Atla. To get in there, you need the Needolin ability. You play the melody in front of that weird circular door in the Grotto. Once you're inside, find the bench by the pond, swim to the left through a tiny gap, and it's hanging in a secret grotto.

The seventh Mossberry is the real pain. It's way late-game in a sub-zone of the Citadel called Memorium. You need the Faydown Cloak (the double jump) just to reach the corridor. It’s hanging on the ceiling right next to a grub.

What do you actually get?

Giving the Druid the first three completes the Berry Picking Wish and nets you the Druid's Eye. It's a solid early-game Crest because it makes taking damage less punishing by giving you "leak" silk to heal back up.

But if you bring all seven? She upgrades it to the Druid's Tears (or the "Upgraded Druid's Eye," depending on who you ask). This version basically doubles the silk output. It's a bit weird though—it drops two green orbs that you have to manually collect.

Also, the Rosary payout is weirdly random. Sometimes she’ll call a berry "rotten" and give you 30 Rosaries; other times she’ll pay 80. Some players think it's based on how fast you bring it to her, but honestly, it feels like pure RNG or maybe tied to whether you've died while carrying it.

Your Next Steps in Pharloom

If you've already handed in your first three, don't ignore the rest. Those extra Rosaries are vital for buying the Spool Fragments from Shakra early on. Make sure you've unlocked the Silkspear before trying to hunt the ones near the Druid's hut, as it makes breaking the environmental barriers a lot less tedious. Check your map for the golden pins; if you’re missing the Citadel one, just keep pushing the main story until you get the double jump.
