You’re standing on a cold, windswept cliffside in the Scottish Highlands. The moon is out. It’s quiet. Then you see it—a stone pillar with a weird, rotating top. There are 15 total, including the one you do with Amit. Since the map is huge, it’s easiest to break these down by region. Don’t try to do them all at once. It’s tedious. Do them as you clear out other regional objectives like Bandit Camps or Infamous Foes.
The Northern Highlands
Up near North Ford Bog, there’s a table sitting on a ridge. It’s the Centaurus constellation. It’s pretty straightforward, but the bog is usually foggy, so flying there on a broom is better than walking through the muck.
In the Forbidden Forest, you’ll find the Draco constellation. This one is tucked away in the eastern part of the woods. Watch out for spiders. Seriously, the Acromantulas in this area don't care that you're just trying to look at the stars.
Around the School Grounds

The Hogsmeade Valley and North Hogwarts
The Hogsmeade Valley table is just east of the village. It’s the Leo constellation. If you’ve just finished a quest in Hogsmeade and the sun is going down, it’s a quick flight.
Over in North Hogwarts Region, there’s a table sitting on a hill near a small bandit camp. It’s the Cygnus constellation. You’ll probably hear the bandits yelling while you’re trying to focus your telescope. Just ignore them or "Depulso" them off the cliff before you start.

The Mid-Map Grind
Hogwarts Valley has two. One is near the Brocburrow hamlet (Corvus). The other is way south, near the "Eye of the Mine" quest location (Capricorn).
Feldcroft is a major hub for these. One is right near the Feldcroft hamlet (Lacerta), and the other is further north towards the Rookwood Castle (Horologium). This area is wide open, making these some of the easiest to spot from the air.
The Deep South: Poidsear Coast and Beyond
Once you pass through the Coastal Mine and enter the southern half of the map, the Astronomy tables in Hogwarts Legacy get a bit more spread out.
- Poidsear Coast: Look for the Hydra constellation. It’s near the southern tip of the coast.
- Marunweem Lake: This one represents Canis Major. It’s located on the eastern side of the lake.
- Manor Cape: This is the Sagittarius table. It’s perched on the edge of the cliffs near the ruined manor. The view here is actually incredible.

- The Amit factor: Remember you can't start finding these until you finish his specific quest. If you're exploring early and see them but can't use them, that's why.
Actionable Steps to Finish Your Collection
If you're sitting at 12 or 13 tables and can't find the last few, stop flying around randomly. Open your map and zoom all the way out until you see the region names. Hover over Manor Cape and Clagmar Coast first. Most people miss those because they're at the very bottom of the world and there aren't many main story quests that take you directly to those specific cliff edges.
Once you find the final table, you don't automatically get the rewards. You have to physically go into your Challenges menu, navigate to the "Exploration" tab, and manually claim the gear appearances. Equip them in your Gear menu by hovering over your cloak or outfit and pressing the "Change Appearance" button. You can wear the Starry Seeker look while keeping the stats of your highest-level legendary gear.
Go finish that collection. The Highlands aren't going to map themselves, and that cape really does look better than the standard school robes.
