You’re wandering through the Depths, surrounded by that suffocating darkness and glowing red puddles of Gloom, and you see them: hundreds of tiny blue wisps. Poes. They’re everywhere. Most players just hoard them like digital magpies without knowing what they’re actually for.
Basically, Poes are the currency for the Bargainer Statues, these massive, ancient stone entities that look like they’ve seen the beginning and end of time. Finding all bargainer statue locations is how you get your hands on the best gloom-resistance gear and those nostalgia-tripping legacy armor sets from older games. Honestly, if you aren't hunting these down, you're making your life in the Depths way harder than it needs to be.
The One We All Missed First
Most people think the first statue is underground. Nope. It’s sitting right there in Lookout Landing, tucked away in Josha’s research area. It’s small—just a weirdly shaped rock with four eyes—but it’s your gateway to everything else.
If you talk to this little guy, he’ll offer to mark the locations of his "brethren" on your map. But here’s the kicker: he charges you Poes for the privilege. The first one is cheap, only 10 Poes. After that? The price jumps to 100 Poes per location. You've got better things to spend your spirits on, like the Dark Tunic or the Tunic of the Depths, so don't waste your currency. Where to Find the Six Depths Statues
Aside from the little one on the surface, there are six massive statues hidden in the Depths. A neat trick to remember is that they almost always correspond to the location of a Hylia Goddess Statue on the surface map. If there's a sacred spring or a major temple above, there’s probably a Bargainer Statue below.
1. The Plains Bargainer Statue
This is usually the first one people stumble upon after Lookout Landing. It’s located in the Central Hyrule Depths, specifically northeast of the Stakijat Lightroot. If you’re looking at your surface map, it sits directly underneath the Temple of Time ruins on the Great Sky Island.

2. Cliff Bargainer Statue
This one is a total pain to reach. It’s way up north in the Hebra region, tucked into a cliffside under the Forgotten Temple. You’ll find it northeast of the Yisuayam Lightroot. Because the Depths are an inverted version of the surface, the "canyon" of the Forgotten Temple becomes a massive, towering ridge in the Depths. You’re going to need a lot of stamina or a Hover Bike to reach its face.

3. Wellspring of Power Bargainer Statue
Head to the Akkala region for this one. It’s sitting right under the Spring of Power. The easiest way there is to drop through the East Akkala Plains Chasm and head northwest toward the Akinatanis Lightroot. It’s massive, so once you get close and throw a Giant Brightbloom Seed, you can’t miss it.

4. Wellspring of Wisdom Bargainer Statue
Found in the Lanayru region, this statue is located directly beneath the Spring of Wisdom on Mount Lanayru. Use the Naydra Snowfield Chasm and head east toward the Usukaz Lightroot. It’s high up on a mountain ledge, so be ready for a climb.

5. Wellspring of Courage Bargainer Statue

Why You Actually Need All Seven
It’s not just for the completionist high. Each statue you "activate" by speaking to it expands the shop's inventory.
You start with basic stuff like Dark Clumps (for gloom-resistant cooking) and the Dark Tunic. But as you find more, you unlock the Depths Armor Set, which provides actual Gloom Resistance hearts. If you manage to find all seven, you unlock the Tunic of Memories—basically the classic Breath of the Wild blue tunic.

Tactical Insights for the Hunt
Don't just run blindly into the dark. The Depths are a mirror. If there is a mountain on the surface, there is a valley in the Depths. If there is a river on the surface, there is an impassable wall in the Depths.

Use your surface map to navigate. Mark the Springs of Power, Wisdom, and Courage on your surface map, then switch to the Depths map and place a pin in the exact same spot. This makes finding the Wellspring statues almost trivial.
Also, stock up on Large Brightbloom Seeds. These statues are huge, but they don't glow. You can walk right past the Cliff Bargainer Statue in the pitch black and never realize you were standing at its feet.
Once you have all seven locations, make the Great Abandoned Central Mine your "home base" for trading. It has a fast travel point right there, and since it’s indoors, you don't have to worry about nearby Frox or Stal-enemies bothering you while you browse the inventory.
