The first boss is the Phalanx Echo. He’s annoying. He boops you off the edge. You die. You restart. But once you actually take him down, you’re looking at your first real chance at some decent gear.

The Prosecutor Auto Rifle is currently the star of this encounter. It’s a 450 RPM Precision Frame. Back in the day, these were kind of "meh," but with the right perks like Voltshot or Dragonfly, this thing clears rooms. It feels crisp. If you’re a PvP main, look for Zen Moment. It turns the gun into a laser beam.

You might also see the Sidearm, A Swift Verdict. It’s a Void Precision Frame. Sidearms are in a strange place in the meta right now, but for CQC builds, it’s a sleeper pick.

The armor drops here are usually the gloves or the chest piece. Again, this is the Coda set. If you’re looking to transmog that sleek, faceless Nine look, this is where you’ll spend most of your farming time.


Understanding the Farming Mechanic

Prophecy is unique. Unlike some of the newer dungeons where you’re locked to one drop per character per week, Prophecy is infinitely farmable for legendary gear.

However, there is a catch.

You can only "unlock" new items in your collection during your first clear of the week. If you’ve never seen a Judgment hand cannon before, and it doesn’t drop on your Tuesday run, you can’t farm the Cube room on Wednesday to find it. You’ll just keep getting whatever did drop for you. Once an item is in your Collections, though? You can farm that specific encounter until your fingers bleed.

The Kell Echo: The Big Payday

The final boss, the Kell Echo, is a marathon. It’s a test of patience, mote-dunking, and not getting hit by the dark entropy teleports. But the loot table here is actually split into two parts: the boss kill itself and the final chest in the Emissary’s room.

When you kill the Kell Echo, you get a piece of Moonfang-X7 armor.

This is guaranteed. It’s a high-stat-roll potential set that looks like it came straight out of a mecha anime. If you want the helmet, you have to kill the Kell Echo. If you want the chest piece, you have to kill the Kell Echo.

But the weapons? Those come from the Emissary chest after you drop down the giant hole.

This is where you find the Darkest Before Pulse Rifle. This gun is legendary in the Destiny community. It’s a 540 RPM Rapid-Fire frame. It’s Arc. It’s fast. With the new perk refresh, it can roll with Heal Clip or Incandescent. Wait, no—it's Arc, so look for Voltshot. My mistake, I was thinking of the old Season of the Haunted stuff. For Darkest Before, you want that Arc synergy.

You also have a chance at the Relentless Pulse Rifle. This is a Strand High-Impact frame. High-impact pulses are monsters in the Crucible right now. If you get a roll with Keep Away and Zen Moment, you will be the person everyone hates in Iron Banner.

These chests will only drop things you have already unlocked. If you've only ever gotten the boots, these chests will only ever give you the boots. Don't waste your time hunting them if you haven't cleared the dungeon at least once.

Is Prophecy Solo Flawless Worth It?

If you're a glutton for punishment, you might be eyeing that solo flawless emblem or the Sparrow.

The Of All Things emblem is still one of the rarest-looking cosmetics in the game. It doesn't affect your loot drops, but it does affect your street cred in the Tower. From a pure loot efficiency standpoint, soloing Prophecy is a bad idea. It takes way too long. If you want to farm the Destiny 2 Prophecy loot table, grab a checkpoint from a Discord bot or a friend and just run the specific encounter you need.

Actionable Next Steps for Farming

If you want to maximize your time, don't just run the whole dungeon start to finish over and over. That's a rookie move.

  • Identify your goal. Do you want the Prosecutor Auto Rifle? Go to the first boss. Do you want the Judgment Hand Cannon? Go to the Cube.
  • Grab a checkpoint. Use the D2Checkpoint website or a bot to save the specific encounter on an alternate character.
