Finding every single meditation spot in Black Myth: Wukong is basically like finding free money on the sidewalk. Except the money is Sparks, and you really need those Sparks if you're planning on surviving the brutal boss rushes in the later chapters. Honestly, it's one of the few things in the game that doesn't try to kill you immediately. You just sit down, look at a pretty view, and get a skill point. Easy, right?
Well, it would be, if Game Science didn't hide some of these in the most annoying corners of the map.
There are 24 meditation spots in total across the five main chapters (Chapter 6 is a bit of a different beast and doesn't have traditional ones). If you're looking to hit that platinum trophy or just want to max out your staff techniques, you've gotta track these down. Most players miss at least three or four on their first run because they're too busy running for their lives from a giant beetle or a headless monk.
Why Bother Tracking Down All Meditation Spots?
You get one Spark per spot. That’s 24 free skill points. If you've been struggling with a boss like Yellow Loong or the Great Sage's Broken Shell, those extra points in health or stamina are literally game-changers. Plus, finding them all pops the Scenic Seeker trophy.
The game doesn't give you a traditional "map" in the pause menu. It's old school. You have to rely on landmarks and your own sense of direction. Or, you know, this guide.
Chapter 1: Black Wind Mountain (3 Spots)
Chapter 1 is pretty linear, so you shouldn't have too much trouble here. It’s basically a warmup.
- The Arbor, Forest of Wolves: Start at the "Outside the Forest" shrine. Turn around and head back through the cave you just came from. You'll see a wooden platform overlooking the valley. That's your first one.
- The Cavern, Bamboo Grove: From the "Back Hills" shrine, go down the stairs. Look for a path on the left that leads into a small cave. There’s usually a horse NPC (Ma Tianba) hanging out here too.
- The Cliff, Black Wind Cave: After you beat the Whiteclad Noble (the annoying guy in the lake), go through the cave path. Instead of going right toward the next shrine, keep going straight to the wooden ledge.
Chapter 2: Yellow Sand, Desolate Dusk (6 Spots)
This is where the game starts getting tricky. The desert is huge, and it's easy to get turned around.

The Altar, Sandgate Village From the "Village Entrance" shrine, walk onto the bridge but hop off to the right before crossing. Go through the cave and take a sharp left. It’s tucked away in a small alcove with a Buddha head.
The Ravine, Rock Clash Platform Right near the "Rock Clash Platform" shrine. Instead of heading into the boss arena where you fight the Stone Vanguard, follow the path by the old buildings to the cliffside.
The Sculpture, Crouching Tiger Temple Go up the main stairs of the temple from the entrance shrine. Before you enter the main gate to fight the Tiger Vanguard, look for an opening on the left side of the courtyard.
The Deadwood, Rockrest Flat From the "Rockrest Flat" shrine, walk past the drunken boar NPC. There's a big tree near the cliff edge; the spot is right there in the grass.
The Grotto, Yellow Wind Formation This one is near the "Windseal Gate" shrine. It's opposite the main boss arena. Just follow the path away from the tornado area.
The Rock, Sandgate Bound (Secret Area) You can only get this in the Kingdom of Sahali secret area. After you beat Fuban, look at the rocks on the leftmost side of the desert plain. It's sitting on a flat stone.

Chapter 3: The New West (5 Spots)
The snow levels are gorgeous, but the Pagoda Realm is a nightmare. Don't let the scenery distract you from the fact that everything wants you dead.
The Shade, Mirrormere
Right in front of the "Mirrormere" shrine. It’s next to a massive tree at the edge of the frozen lake. You can't miss it unless you're playing with your eyes closed.
The Bottom, Pagoda Realm
This one is a bit of a hike. After you finish the Pagoda and beat Captain Wise-Voice, head outside. You'll find a chest with a Celestial Pill; smash the fence behind it to find a hidden area with the meditation spot.
The Statue, Precept Corridor
From the "Precept Corridor" shrine, just walk straight ahead. It’s right in front of some Buddha statues. Simple.
The Track, Mindfulness Cliff
You'll find this in the arena where you fight Non-White for the second time. It’s right on the edge of the cliff before you slide down into the next area.
The Hall, New Thunderclap Temple
Go to the "Mahavira Hall" shrine. Turn around, go down the stairs, and look for the building on the right. Non-Pure (one of the mini-bosses) is usually guarding this area.

Chapter 4: The Webbed Ridge (6 Spots)
Spider caves. Great. Everyone's favorite. These are arguably the hardest to find because the verticality of the map is confusing.
- The Carvings, Pool of Shattered Jade: Right next to the "Pool of Shattered Jade" shrine. It’s overlooking the water.
- The Tree, Middle of the Hollow: Right in front of the "Middle Hollow" shrine. It’s on a cliff edge with a fire brazier.
- Cave Depths, Lower Hollow: From the "Lower Hollow" shrine, head left into the tunnel. Look for a crack in the wall on your left—you have to squeeze through it.
- The Height, Forest of Ferocity: Once you get out of the caves and reach the "Forest of Ferocity" shrine, hug the cliff on the left.
- The Pines, Temple of Yellow Flowers: From the "Temple Entrance" shrine, go through the gate and slightly to the right.
- The Ledge, Purple Cloud Mountain (Secret Area): This is in the secret area you unlock by beating the Venom Daoist twice. From the "Valley of Blooms" shrine, go left through the woods toward a Torii Gate. Go up the hill path to the left of the gate.
Chapter 5: Flaming Mountains (4 Spots)
The final set. By now, you're probably a pro at spotting these cushions from a mile away.
- The Relief, Camp of Seasons: Cross the bridges from the "Camp of Seasons" shrine. After the second bridge, look for stairs on the right leading up to a platform.
- The Buddha, The Emerald Hall: After you beat the Yin-Yang Fish boss, look at the back of the hall opposite the throne.
- The Crag, Ashen Pass III: To the right of the "Ashen Pass III" shrine, there are some rocks you can jump over. It’s hidden right behind them.
- The Screen, Bishui Cave (Secret Area): In the secret area of Chapter 5. Follow the main path through the Purge Pit and it'll be on your left near a stone tablet.
Real Talk on Missing Spots
If you've finished the game and realize you're missing one, check your Journal. Under the "Meditation Spots" tab, it actually lists the ones you've found by name. If there's a silhouette or a blank space, you know exactly which chapter to go back to.
Most people forget the ones in the secret areas like the Kingdom of Sahali or Purple Cloud Mountain. If you haven't unlocked those yet, you're missing out on more than just meditation spots—you're missing the best boss fights in the game.
Go back through your travel menu at a shrine. Use the names I've listed above to cross-reference your journal. Those extra Sparks might be exactly what you need to finally get past the final boss's second phase. Just remember to actually sit on the cushion; just finding it isn't enough to get the point.
Next Step: Open your Journal in-game right now and count your total meditation spots. If you're below 24, look at the names of the ones you're missing and use the fast travel at any Keeper's Shrine to head to that specific area.
