Look, the Black Ops 6 campaign is already pretty wild with the 90s nostalgia and the mind-trippy missions, but if you’re ignoring the safes, you’re basically leaving money on the table. Literally. There are nine safes total scattered throughout the game.
Most of them give you $1,000 cold hard cash. In a game where upgrades for your character and the Safehouse (The Rook) cost a fortune, that cash is the difference between having a decent loadout and being an absolute tank. Finding all safes in BO6 campaign isn't just about the money, though; it also bags you the "Safe Cracker" challenge and some sweet blueprints.
The Rook Safehouse: That Massive Multi-Step Puzzle
Before you even get into the mission-specific safes, there’s the big one at your home base. Honestly, it’s the most complicated thing in the whole campaign. You can’t just walk up and guess a code; you’ve got to solve a chain of puzzles throughout the mansion.
First, go to the piano room. Grab the blacklight off the table. You’ll see symbols on the walls above the piano and around the room. You have to play the keys in a specific order based on the Russian letters and numbers. For most players, that sequence is: Mn, Pe, Cn, Ao, Pe. This opens a secret door behind the piano.
Head down there. You’ll find a basement door that needs power. Go to the boiler room (it's near the mission briefing area). You have to mess with the fuel and the pilot light to get the water flowing. Once that’s done, head back to the piano basement and the door will be unlocked.
Behind that door is a keypad. This part is randomized for everyone, so you've gotta use your blacklight to see which buttons have the most fingerprints. Think of it like a game of Wordle but with numbers. After that, you'll hack a computer by matching letters to numbers—standard stuff.
Finally, you’ll find a radio. Tune it until the waveforms match. A voice will start listing off items like "couch," "guitar," or "lantern." Use your blacklight to find those items in the room and look for the numbers written next to them. That's your code. Take that code to the safe in the upstairs bedroom. You get $1,000 and the Case Cracker Melee Blueprint.

Blood Feud: The Restaurant Secret
In the mission Blood Feud, you’re in Avalon trying to sneak into a high-end restaurant. This safe is actually pretty easy to miss if you’re just rushing the objective.
Once you get to the restaurant area, don't go through the front door. Head to the left side of the building into the alley. You’ll see a van. Climb up and crawl through the vent. This leads you to an office where two guards are chatting.
Take them out or wait for them to finish. The radio is on a small table near the door, and the safe is right there against the wall. Tune the radio, get your four digits, and grab the cash.
Most Wanted: The Gala Hideout
This mission is basically Mission Impossible. While you're at the gala trying to snap photos of the Senator, head over to the bar area on the right side of the room.
There’s a restricted area behind some gold and red curtains. Sneak past the guard (or just knock him out, I won't tell). Follow the path through the curtains into a little secluded room. The radio and safe are tucked away in the back left corner. It’s risky because of the "restricted" status, but worth the detour.
Hunting Season: The Desert Village
Hunting Season is a big open-map mission. You’re looking for a location labeled Village on your tactical map. It’s a cluster of buildings crawling with enemies.
✨ Don't miss: How to Create My Own Dragon: From Sketchpad to Digital Reality
In the center of this village, there’s a two-story house with blue trim.
- Clear the building (watch out for the guys with RPGs outside).
- The radio is in a dark side room on the ground floor next to a TV.
- The safe is in the kitchen area, right next to a big bag of rice.
The Cradle: The Palace Lobby
Right as you start breaching the palace in The Cradle, look to the left of the main entrance before you go deep into the building. There’s a side door.
Go inside and head up the stairs. You’ll find a fancy lobby. The radio is sitting on a table, and the safe is built into the wall nearby. It’s one of the easiest ones to find because it's so close to the starting path.
Emergence: The Spooky Locker Room
This mission is basically a horror movie. Once you have the grappling hook and you’re exploring the Cognitive Research wing (the one with the creepy mannequins), look for a locker room.
It’s near a vending machine. The safe is immediately to your left when you walk in. The radio is a bit further back on a shelf near some washing machines. Honestly, the atmosphere in here makes the radio tuning feel way more intense than it actually is.
High Rollers: The Casino Vault
When you take control of Sev in the casino, you’ll eventually head downstairs to the room where you need to activate the elevator.

The safe and radio are located right next to the elevator. You literally can't miss this one unless you’re playing with your eyes closed. It’s the most "on-the-rails" safe in the game.
Ground Control: The Airport Terminal
At the airport, after you’ve cleared out a massive wave of enemies in the first terminal, you’ll be prompted to open a gate. Stop. Before you touch that gate, look for the information desk/reception area on the opposite side of the room. The radio is behind that desk. Once you get the code, the safe is in a small side office right next to it.
Under the Radar: The Radar Dish
In the Under the Radar mission, head toward the massive radar dish on the map. There’s a building directly underneath it.
Go up the stairs to the second floor. You’ll have to lockpick a door and take out a guard who’s standing right next to the radio. The safe is in the same room. This is usually the last one people find, and it triggers the "Safe Cracker" challenge once you pop it open.
Why You Should Care
If you've been skipping these, you're missing out on about $9,000 total. That’s enough to fully deck out your character with perks like increased health or better reload speeds. Plus, that Case Cracker knife skin looks great in multiplayer.
Keep in mind that the codes are unique to your playthrough. You can't just look up a list of numbers; you actually have to find the radio and listen to the broadcast. It takes about two minutes per mission and makes the late-game missions way more manageable.
To get the most out of your run, try to hit the Safehouse safe as soon as you unlock the "The Rook" area. Having that extra grand and the melee blueprint early on feels like a huge head start before you dive into the heavier combat missions. All safes in BO6 campaign are basically a test of your observation, so keep your ears open for that radio static whenever you enter a new building.
To wrap this up, prioritize the Safehouse puzzles first to get the blueprints, then grab the mission safes as you go to fund your perk purchases at the upgrade bench.
Actionable Insights
- Always carry a silenced weapon during the stealth portions of Blood Feud and Most Wanted to reach safes without alerting the whole map.
- Use the subtitles setting when tuning radios; the code will often pop up in the text if you can't hear the voice clearly over the game's music.
- Check the "Safe Cracker" progress in your challenge menu to make sure the game registered every safe you've opened.
