All Records Lies of P: The Musical Hunt You’re Probably Messing Up

If you’ve spent any time in the rain-slicked, puppet-infested streets of Krat, you know that all records Lies of P offers aren't just collectibles for the sake of a shiny trophy. They are the heartbeat of your transformation. Honestly, the first time I sat down at that gramophone in Hotel Krat and "Feel" started playing, I realized this game wasn't just a Bloodborne clone. It was something much more personal.

Most players hunt these down because they want the Golden Melody achievement. Others do it because they're desperate for that sweet, sweet Humanity to unlock the "Rise of P" ending or to finally yank the Golden Lie weapon out of that portrait in Geppetto’s office. But here’s the kicker: it is incredibly easy to screw this up. You can’t just find them; you have to earn them through specific lies, tragic side quests, and sometimes, just by being a decent guy in a world that’s falling apart.

The First Playthrough: 11 Records You Can Actually Find

In your first run, you’re looking for 11 records. They aren't just sitting in chests waiting for you. Most are tied to the "Humanity" system. If you tell the truth when you should have lied, or if you ignore a coughing silhouette in a window, you're out of luck until New Game+.

Feel
This is usually the first one everyone gets. You find the Weeping Woman in Elysion Boulevard. She wants her baby. You find a "baby" (it’s a puppet, let’s be real) at Krat City Hall. You bring it back. Lie to her. Tell her it’s a cute baby. She’ll give you the record. If you tell her the truth, she’s devastated, and while you might still get the record, you miss out on that crucial Humanity bump.

Divine Service
Don't rush past Cecile in the St. Frangelico Cathedral Library. She wants the Holy Mark from the Archbishop’s office. Get it for her before you kill the Fallen Archbishop Andreus. If you kill the boss first, she’s gone. If you do it right, go back to her spot after the fight. She’s gone, but she left a confession and this record.

Someday
Basically the only "easy" one. Find the merchant in the Malum District, right inside the Red Lobster Inn. He sells it for 3,800 Ergo. Just buy it. No moral dilemma required.

Fascination
This one is tragic. You need to buy a Bright Red Apple from Polendina at the hotel first. When you get to the Estella Opera House, find Adelina in a side room. Give her the apple. After you defeat the Romeo, King of Puppets, go back to her room. She’ll be dead, but the record is yours.

Quixotic
After you beat Champion Victor, you’ll run into the Red Fox and Black Cat near the tram. They’ll ask for a Gold Coin Fruit. Give it to them. They’re scammers, sure, but they’ll give you the record and the "Beg" gesture.

Why
Belle’s quest is a headache. You find her in the Grand Exhibition, and she moves to the hotel. Later, she asks you to find her partner, Atkinson, at Krat Central Station. He’s turned into a monster. He gives you a letter. Go back to Belle and lie. Tell her he died fighting puppets. If you tell her he became a monster, you don't get the record.

Misty E’rA
You need the Rusty Cryptic Vessel for this. Give it to Venigni to decode, which opens the Hermit’s Cave in the Barren Swamp. Go all the way to the end, kill the big elite carcass, and he’ll drop the record.

Far East Princess vs. Proposal, Flower, Wolf Part 1
Here is where things get annoying. These two are mutually exclusive in a single playthrough. It’s all about Alidoro. After you deal with him at the Relic of Trismegistus, take his Cryptic Vessel to Venigni. Then talk to Eugenie.

  • For Far East Princess: Lie and say he was just a talented Stalker.
  • For Proposal, Flower, Wolf Part 1: Tell the truth that he was her brother.
You’ll need a second playthrough to get the one you missed.

Memory of Beach
This requires you to follow Antonia’s questline. After beating Champion Victor, talk to Polendina and Giangio to get a cure for her. Tell Polendina to use it. Later, after defeating Laxasia the Complete, Antonia will pass away peacefully. You’ll find this record on her wheelchair in Geppetto’s study.

Shadow Flower
After the Laxasia fight, you’ll find Sophia’s real body. You have to choose: "Give her peace" or "Let her live." To get the record, you must give her peace. It will be sitting on the chair right in front of you.

The NG+ Golden Records: The Final 5

You cannot 100% the records in one go. Period. New Game+ introduces "Golden" versions of the songs. These are mostly sold by Wandering Merchants you’ve already met, but their inventory changes in the second loop.

  1. Proposal, Flower, Wolf Part 1 (Golden): Buy from the merchant in Cerasani Alley (before the first boss).
  2. Quixotic (Golden): Buy from the merchant inside the house on Elysion Boulevard.
  3. Shadow Flower (Golden): Buy from the merchant in the Lorenzini Arcade.
  4. Memory of Beach (Golden): Buy from the merchant at the Abandoned Apartment.
  5. Fascination (Golden): This one is tricky. You have to find Test Subject 826 in the Arche Abbey Outer Wall. Talk to him. Then, after defeating Laxasia, find him again on the bridge at Rosa Isabelle Street. He’ll sell it to you there.

The "Overture" DLC Records

If you're playing the 2025/2026 updated versions with the Overture expansion, there are three new tracks: Lisrim, Nightmare, and Shadow Flower (Overture Mix). These follow the same rules—some are found in the new "Strange Forest" areas, and the Golden versions appear in NG+.

Why Your Records Aren't Giving You Humanity

I see this all the time on Reddit. People complain they listened to the records and didn't get the "Your springs are reacting" or "The Ergo is whispering" message.

Here’s the deal: You have to listen to the whole thing. You can't just start the song and walk away. You have to stay in the menu or stay near the gramophone until the song finishes. A little record sleeve icon will appear on the record once it's been "validated" for Humanity.

Also, listening to records in NG+ only gives Humanity if you physically collected them again in that specific playthrough. If they carried over from your first game, they’re just for vibes. You have to go do the quests again to get the Humanity points.

Actionable Steps for Completionists

If you want that Golden Lie weapon and the platinum trophy, follow this order:

  • Focus on Lying: In your first run, always choose the "human" (usually the lie) response. This aligns with most record requirements like the Weeping Woman and Belle.
  • Don't Kill Alidoro Early: Wait until you get his Cryptic Vessel at the end of the game to finish Eugenie’s quest.
  • The Apple is Key: Buy the apple as soon as Polendina stocks it. If you forget it and enter the Opera House, you might miss the window to give it to Adelina.
  • Check the Gramophone Daily: Every time you return to the hotel after a major boss, check if you have a new record and let it play while you go grab a snack or check your phone.

The hunt for all records Lies of P has to offer is basically a tour of the game's most depressing moments. But honestly? The soundtrack is so good that sitting in the lobby of a dying hotel while a puppet tries to find his soul is actually kind of relaxing. Just make sure you actually let the song finish, or you’re just wasting your time.
