You're flying over the Scottish Highlands, the wind is whistling past your wizarding robes, and you spot something weird on a random cliffside. It's a colorful, circular disk. It looks important, but it doesn't show up on your map.
Basically, you’ve just found one of the most annoying—yet oddly satisfying—collectibles in the game.
Finding all landing platforms Hogwarts legacy has to offer is a rite of passage for completionists. Unlike Merlin Trials or Floo Flames, these things are invisible on your mini-map until you're practically on top of them. There are 20 in total. If you want that sweet Quidditch Captain gear (and let’s be honest, who doesn't want to look like they actually play the sport the game forgot?), you’re going to have to do some serious scouting.
Why the Game Won't Help You Find Them
Honestly, it’s kinda frustrating. Most games give you a marker once you’ve cleared an area, but Hogwarts Legacy plays hard to get. You can zoom all the way out on your world map to see a region-by-region breakdown of how many you've found, but it won't show you where the missing ones are.
You’ve gotta use your eyes. Or Revelio. Lots of Revelio.
The mechanic is simple: fly your broom over the platform and land. You'll see the brazier ignite and the platform spin. That's it. No puzzle, no combat, just a smooth landing. It feels like a "participation trophy" until you realize how well-hidden some of these are.

North Ford Bog (1 Platform)
Starting at the very top of the map. There is only one here, and it’s basically a warm-up. Look just south of Pitt-Upon-Ford. You’ll see it sitting on top of a tall wooden scaffolding.
Hogsmeade Valley (2 Platforms)
The first one is tucked away in the far north of the valley, east of the East North Ford Bog Floo Flame. It’s on a cliff edge near a bandit camp. The second is easier—just fly east from Hogsmeade itself and look for the high ridges.
North Hogwarts Region (2 Platforms)
One is sitting on a cliff west of the East North Hogwarts Region Floo Flame. The other? Keep heading west toward the Korrow Ruins. It’s perched on a high ridge overlooking the river.
South Hogwarts Region (1 Platform)
Only one here, surprisingly. Head south from Aranshire. You’ll find it on a cliff overlooking the path toward the Lower Hogsfield area.
Hogwarts Valley: The Real Hunt Begins
This is where the density picks up. There are three platforms here, and they love to hide in plain sight.

- The Ruins: Go northwest of Keenbridge. You’ll find some castle ruins with a tall tower. The platform is actually inside a structure with a missing roof.
- The High Cliff: Directly north of the West Hogwarts Valley Floo Flame. It’s got one of the best views of the castle in the whole game.
- The Southern Tip: Way down south near "The Mine's Eye." It’s tucked near a Merlin Trial, close to the entrance of the Coastal Cavern.
The Mid-Game Grind: Feldcroft and Beyond
Feldcroft has four platforms. Four! It’s the most crowded region for these things.
- One is between North Feldcroft and the West Hogwarts Valley Floo.
- Another is sitting on a rocky spire southwest of the actual Feldcroft village.
- The third is in some ruins near a cave entrance in the eastern part of the region.
- The last one is southwest of Irondale, right next to an Ancient Magic Hotspot.
Poidsear Coast (1 Platform)
Once you make it through the tunnel to the southern half of the map, head to the very southern tip of Poidsear. It’s on a lonely rock tower sticking out of the water.
Marunweem Lake (2 Platforms)
One is literally on the Marunweem Bridge (the side opposite the Floo Flame). The other is south of the Coastal Mine Floo Flame, sitting on a cliff near the Tower Tunnel.
Manor Cape (2 Platforms)
These two are basically neighbors. One is on a rock formation in the water south of the West Manor Cape Floo. The other is just a bit further north along the coast, hidden behind some large boulders near a treasure vault.
Cragcroftshire & Clagmar Coast (1 Each)
In Cragcroftshire, fly south of the village to find a massive natural rock pillar in the ocean. The platform is on top. Finally, the Clagmar Coast platform is near the Graphorn Den, tucked into the cliffs on the eastern edge.

What Do You Actually Get?
Is it worth the flight time? Kinda depends on how much you care about "drip."
Completing the all landing platforms Hogwarts legacy challenge unlocks the Quidditch Captain's Set. It’s an appearance-only reward, meaning you can transmog it over your high-stat gear.
- 2 Platforms: Quidditch Captain’s Uniform
- 6 Platforms: Quidditch Captain’s Helmet
- 12 Platforms: Quidditch Captain’s Gloves
- 20 Platforms: Quidditch Captain’s Cape
The cape is the real winner here. It’s got a great silhouette and makes you look like the seeker the Gryffindor team desperately needs (since, you know, Black cancelled the season).
Pro-Tips for the Final Stretch
If you’re stuck at 19/20, don't panic. It's usually the one in the Marunweem ruins or the one inside the building in Hogwarts Valley. People forget to look inside structures.
Also, do this at night. The platforms don't glow like crazy, but the contrast makes the colorful patterns pop a bit more against the dark rocks. If you’re really struggling, fly high—very high—and look straight down. The "pop-in" for these objects is actually pretty decent, so they’ll stand out against the greenery.
To finish this off and get your 100% completion, open your map, zoom all the way out, and hover over each region name. Check the list on the right side. If a region says "Landing Platforms 0/1," you know exactly where to start your search. Happy flying.
Next Steps for Your Playthrough:
Check your World Map and zoom out to the max level. Identify which specific region is missing a platform, then head to the nearest Floo Flame listed above to narrow down your search area. Once you land on the final one, remember to manually claim your rewards from the Exploration tab in your Challenges menu—they don't just appear in your inventory automatically.
