need help with wood shield

im struggling drawing this damn wood shield!

If the character is meant to be defending with that shield, they should be holding it in front of themselves, not off to the side. So, the shield should be seen almost side-on. If there's a boss on it (the round metal bit that's found on many round shields), we'd probably see a bit of that.

no its not in defense stance just ordinary idle, my concerne is about how to draw wood on tiny shield

You seem to be doing fine on the wood, it fits with the rest of the style. Any more detail and you might lose that. However, what's holding the shield together? Add some bars or something to have it make slightly more mechanical sense.

Maybe it's just me but it looks like the sword is curved or bent upwards. The blade doesn't come straight out of the hilt. Do you plan on giving the character a mouth?

yeah is still a bit messy! but the sword is in a different layer its about 1 sec to change it! 'bout the mouth really i dunno maybe only if i need to open it!
