Running Animation

on: March 06, 2016, 06:49:40 pm
Here's something i've been working on the last couple of hours, i've went back an forth with different animation styles and now im just completly lost :(

So i'm wondering how to animate the arm so it fly in the wind and the cloak so it looks more fluid with the legs.

This is how it looks while standing still

Aight, so what I did here was just add a small bit of "billow" to it, timing the flow of the sleeves to his run cycle.

There's improvements that could be made, like having the forward edge be more rigid against his arm, but you can see what I'm doing with it here.

I would just like to say that I had no idea that was his arms, I thought it was a cape or something. If you want to make it more readable as arms, you should add hands at the end of the sleeves, but it looks pretty good.

Going by the reference you need to exaggerate a heck of a lot more.
