Remedied the size of the weapon issue somewhat. Even less realistic, but at least she can wield a larger bow.
Don't think I'll be editing this one quite yet though, because it seems like a lot more work.

I dont see a reason for her to shoot a bow sideways like that. It makes it even harder to draw the weight of the bow, and is even less accurate. Your first way was better. I think it would help you if you started the bow at a more idle stance, and then show the arrow being grasped from the quiver and then drawn and fired. the first animation just looked like she was just pulling on the bow and not really firing anything.

You could also CHEAT LIKE THE DICKENS and make it a magic bow that hovers a bit away from her hand. you could get away with drawing it a bit bigger that way, at the cost of maybe a bit of believability or lore.
