i wonder if making the angle and depth of the slashes more readadble can be achieved just by better sculpting the blur effect and with more contrast in the blur colors?

Yeah that's what i was wondering  but haven't figured it out

EDIT: added a splash of colour to shield so its more prominent when "pressing block"  :P

Got my face into engine coding with the very limited time I have but I'm looking forward to the other actions for this little guy.
There's really nothing else to look at yet lol and its probably all going to be rough for a while as I need to get more stuff in-engine...
