Tiki Walk cycle

on: December 05, 2015, 11:49:52 pm
Hey guys. I'm very new to animation and spriting in general. This is my first attempt at a proper walk cycle so any feed back would be welcome.  Thanks  :)

Oh, the character is Tiki from The NewZealand story.

Hey, I think that looks really good animation wise. Now try another animation with Tiki! I can't think of any criticism.

I thought it was a good animation but needed more bounce to showcase the pudgy cuteness of the character. I added more swing in the "arms" because walking isn't only about the legs but instead the whole body working together to move yourself forward. There is an extra frame added to each time he hits the height of his walk to give him more lift and more room to fall and squish down with each step.
Hope this helps or works for you. Enjoy.
