My first try with textures. I was looking forward this exercise and it didn't disappoint me. It is fun (but hard). =)

@beast Nice to see you posting. Don't stop.

I make actual NES games. Thus, I'm the unofficial forum dealer of too much information about the NES

Was thinking of ideas for my AV (I still haven't come up with anything yet) and I worked on this for quite a few hours before I abandoned it. The sun is incomplete but the earth I considered completed.

I intended to add the moon too, set in front of the earth and sun with a separate caption for all 3 parts. So "hell" over the sun, "heaven" over the moon and "purgatory" over the earth, but I felt the religious aspect to it would be offensive to some and it didn't make a lot of sense either. I was inspired by rap songs/albums like "Nas - Heaven" and "Mobb Deep - Hell on Earth" etc

I did enjoy making the layers for the earth (the first part I made even if it looks terrible) but I took a few lazy shortcuts with it , copying layers like the clouds and then moving them 1 pixel with a small adjustment to the transparency.
