Very cool to see a game with a POC hero ellian.

@PixelPiledriver
Ty! Really digging the patterning in ur cookie specter there.

@Rav
I always love reading your breakdowns, but tbh it's a little hard to judge you work without knowing more about your artistic intention. Are you trying for pure aesthetics? I feel like your going for something a touch more complex but I might be over reading.

@Yellow
Jeez tough pallet, doing well though!

So i've been trying my hand at something more concept arty, big WIP but i feel like i've hit a wall and need people to tell me how to make this more interesting.

THIS IS MY TIME TO SHINE.

DON'T MAKE A HORSE.
Seriously; I love monsters, and I especially love half-human half-animal monsters; You want to make it interesting? Don't make a Horse Centaur, make a Giraffe centaur, an Antelope centau, a gnu centaur. Don't make a mermaid, make an octomaid, a scorpion fishmaid, a starfishmaid. Don't make a regular harpy, make an owl harpy, a colibri harpy, a... you get the idea.

So yeah anyway, make it interesting by looking deeper into the centaur concept. :)

(this propaganda message was brought to you by Ellian, Monster Lover extraordinaire)

By the way, this is gorgeous. If you want me to niptick, maybe the waist is slightly too large, but eh, I love it.

@alcopop - that looks really nice; colors, textures, etc. :)

Made a little set of rock platforms with a tree trunk today.

Focused on observation of angles, so some of it is a bit off.   :blind:
A lot of the values need to be changed as well.
Not done, but gonna stop on this for today.

I feel like the interaction with the viewer could be a bit more interesting.
I realize that's very vague.  :blind:

Not sure about the anticipation in the beginning.

Anticipation looks fine to me if it is just a mildly powered attack.

Yes, I did get rid of the annoying highlight already in the newest version.

Not sure about the anticipation in the beginning.

Try reversing his windup so that it looks like he is building up resistance. Winding-up in the same direction he is going to swing kind of make sense, but not if he stops before actually swinging. I think it will be way better.

Alternatively I suppose you could keep it the way he is but go straight from the windup in place to the actual attack without the pause. It would be an improvement on what you have but a very different effect then what I think you were going for.
