Architecture is pain.

sketching quick and perspectivical correct is always pain.

letting it starting slow today with 20 min sketches
constructed some cars loosely, with main focus on the big proportions. Why is it always such a nuisance to add the wheels?.
On top of that it looks odd if the rear axis is wider than the front axis as it is the case for the truck.
If I have time I definitely will come back to those and project those more carefully in an axonometry with some more Dieselpunk elements ....  ;D

I think I'm done with this as of 5 mins ago... Gonna have another look in a bit, gotta give my eyes a break first!

@milokey: thank you so much for the brushes, I've been looking for the perfect pencil and watercolor brushes for AGES now!

EDIT: After looking at it again I think her hands are a little weird. Any suggestions?

This is taking me longer than I thought, but what can I expect from poking with a 'real' font tool for a change?  :-\

I never have artist's block. I just have silly or boring ideas and draw them anyway.

(Need more painting practice.. I do plenty of drawing, but painting still feels ugh -- really super vague by comparison)

@Cheetah: Interesting feel. I have done some similar stuff myself in Blender. Can I suggest tweaking the water material? Currently the shadow cast by the surrounding grass tiles merges into the grass tiles.. it makes them look 'rounded, with no shadow'. Setting up a real sky and turning up the reflectivity on the water might do it.
If you insist on being pessimistic about your own abilities, consider also being pessimistic about the accuracy of that pessimistic judgement.

of course, lots of sketch stuff is referenced, I haven't nearly drawn enough of most of the subjects to be 100% right with all proportions and details just right out of my head, to improve that I am sketching.

Claymore stuff, anatomy is fun to reconstruct, really long and thin necks and interesting bulked skulls. Torsos are really blocky too.

So I keep looking at more art deco-inspired graphic design and gave some design work a shot. I feel that I should be focusing more from original sources soon.
