Good line of action, but still struggling with limbs a bit. Arms are good here, by my eye, but the leg positioning looked off so I made some corrections here:


Do some studies on bone structure. Google is an EXCELLENT resource, and understanding how the bones interlock and function underneath all those muscles, organs, and skin make for a great mental asset to have when posing and keeping things consistent.
Another resource i can recommend is the Terawell posedoll program, it has all kinds of sliders for muscle mass and facial structure and could help out as a reference material. It's kind of built for anime producers, but that seems to be where you want to focus so it shouldn't be much issue and if you want to do more realistic stuff there's options for that too!

First thing I'm noting is that the water (?) is a bit hard to see as, well, waterfalls.
Try to have it fade into darkness before hitting the rest of the building, give it a sense of depth!

Just a wee little update...
Started drawing some of the supporting characters... kind of like in Metal Gear Solid, you've got a support team back on your mothership. Although this game will have much more streamlined dialogue than Metal Gear  ::) One thing I hate is when it takes a half-hour of reading text to get to the actual game.

From left to right:
Hacker, Weapons expert, Mission commander, Science Officer.

I'm already reconsidering some of these designs... the commander looks uncomfortably similar to Jill Valentine and the science officer is probably gonna bleach her hair.
Oh, there's nothing wrong with looking like other characters. You could even mark it down as an homage, rake in some nerd cred from the people who like the character.
I also like the variety here a lot, especially the hacker. He looks like a real weirdo and I always do love the weird ones!
I'd try to vary up the girls a bit more though, there's a lot of difference between the hacker and the weapons master both in terms of complexion and body build yet the two girls are only really differentiated through their clothing and hairstyles.
It'd make sense to give the Commander a bit more muscle, since that's a very physically demanding job!

No no, that one was fine! Though that smaller divot looks nice and would make for a great texturing option for some of the bricks, I actually meant the brick on the middle-right side of the picture, just below the small one. Five bricks down.

On the topic of that last post, I'd actually say keep both of those on hand! The girl on the right gives me a sort of burly tomboy impression, while the left one gives me a more standard girly one. Both look like the same character though, might be worth trying to slim the limbs down on the left one some to make it more distinct?

As for the walk cycles, the legs look fine but I'm noting that the hips aren't really moving along with them. It makes the legs look like they're only swiveling along one axis, when walking is really kind of a gyrational movement. Study yourself taking steps from various angles and in different strides, you'll sort of see what I mean.

As for differing the males from females, I'd say you're honestly doing fine there. I can tell between them at a glance, and that's without any more defining characteristics like different hairstyles or clothing choices to push that envelope further.
Try some different outfits on them to see if it still looks weird to you, as it is they're both in pretty androgynous outfits (red tee and bluejeans) which, to me, often tends to bias slightly male mentally speaking.

Various fixes here, most time-consuming one was aligning the light-source better, tweaking shading, and removing the extra dark tone along the skin.
BIGGEST one, though, was raising the waist of those pants. You really gotta focus on that, you're getting better at it but the crotches on your pantaloons are still hanging too low more often than not.

I also gave the left one an elbow (and some more muscle for that flex) on her bent arm and tweaked more of the shading on the clothing on both.

Looking good! The shading on the mid-right brick is getting that Pez-y effect again, though you've avoided it on the others thankfully!

But just a question out of curiosity:

What engine will you be developing in, just curious.

This isn't actually a game! It's a forum adventure, where you control the actions of the character (megadude) and I, the author, draw up the art assets and craft obstacles for you to help megadude overcome. For example, right now, he's stuck being unable to go left towards the goal due to not being programmed with the ability to do so. There's a tree entity that seems unable to stay properly still, and a completely immobile enemy sheep! See if you can figure out how to get him to the left, or find another more creative way to solve the problem!
Feel free to suggest, I don't really have enough workable suggestions to continue and this is a really fun way of telling stories.
