Hello, sorry for bursting into this thread,

You should have been made aware from your employee (Nico) that the tiles that were already made, were not made for him or for free use

It was I that created them as a WIP some years ago, please send your employee my regards and suggestion to refrain from using my intellectual property, I told him many times to not do this, but since its not yet worth it to take legal actions, all I can do is telling him.

He should stop trying to spend as little resources as possible

You are definitely not at fault, but it would be delightful if his developer(s) created the tiles from scratch

He is free to contact me though to buy them

I like the various attempts of creating crubblestone tiles though, your recent edits look a little blurred though

You are free to imitate the style and colorvalues though, but not in that very composition

In interest of your progression of improvement, you can continue creating sprites that revolve around imitating the style, once the rest of the environment is made, you could create new cliffs and whichever that would then match your style more properly and transmit a better homogenic feeling (as stated above)

Hi you, I didn't want to bring myself to post as I was scared to only shoot out a oneliner and risk a ban or something

First, I want to say that I very much adore your lines (previous thread and current) great concepts

about this particullar concept theres one thing that has been bugging me for days, I think you'll immediately recognize where I'm coming from without any further explanation needed

EDIT: I might also add that changing some parts on the face on the laying woman would compliment the depth a little more, as right now she looks rather flat :D

If it's just about a pixelated look and for a game, you can save time by doing tricky things like these though, Indigo made a nice tutorial for Index Painting (incase you have a tablet) never used it before though, its just preference

Hello Friend of Trolls

I came to show appreciaten for your concepts, I really like them and see potential!

As said above, to attempt big sprites as a starter at pixelart is kind of tricky and troublesome to get things looking alright! The very most important thing is the concept and to imagine as many details as possible so your image doesn't look that blank (depends if you prefer a more comic look with less details or one style that has more physical rules applied to it)

Now to the trolling-around:

I will still showcase on what you could do with your rather big sprites, since it is still useful for portaits or closeup things! (I really suggest not to make spritesheets this big, as it is very very time-consuming (I'm one to talk))

What I did here in the first step was sketching out the rough idea I saw in your concepts combined with my knowledge of anatomy and perspective and some lighting-enhancement through thicker defined/sketched areas that imply shadows.

I then blocked out basic colors behind the lineart, and selected the lineart itself to change its color according to the bodyparts so the outline isnt just black and merges with the object itself! Everything from that point onward is detail and polishing (application of various pixelart techniques such as AA/Dithering and whatsoever) until you are satisfied with your result!

according to the purpose of this piece, it has way too much unneccessary detail... as mentioned above, you need to work with priority oriented focus, logically the focus would lie at the front, dont know about the psychological mechanics about your game but it seems more reasonable that way ^^... in terms of efficiency, and by saying that i probably assume that youre the only one working on this, you shouldnt spend your energy and time into other things that require more details

possibly post the tiles/player sprite too so we can give some cc on the contrast of the whole thing
