Portfolios / Music Services Available - Need a Soundtrack? Get in touch.
« on: September 17, 2017, 02:19:16 pm »

I offer a range of options for commissioning music and audio production and work in a range of styles including both 8-bit and 16-bit chip-tunes (if a tracker exists for a system I can make tunes for that system within the exact limitations), electronic music using analogue and digital synthesis and pseudo-acoustic music using extensive sample libraries to recreate orchestral, small chamber and other acoustic styles. I can also compose for just about any genre or style of music and I am willing to make arrangements of existing music as long as there are no copyright issues to deal with. My rates are competitive and are negotiated on a job by job basis. If you're asking whether you can afford my services, then you probably have a tight budget, but I can accommodate projects of all scales at a reasonable cost.

I can provide output in native formats if required (e.g. .sid, .prg, .mod) and also in high quality .mp3, .ogg, .aiff and .wav, up to 48Khz 24 bit if required. I can even provide .mid files if needed (supporting general midi standard and in some cases with an accompnting .sf2 soundfont file).

I can also create and record electronic sound effects.

I have many years experience producing music for a range of commercial and indie games and multimedia projects.

Portfolios / I Do Retro... new portfolio coming soon
« on: October 06, 2016, 12:22:42 pm »
I am currently in the process of updating my portfolio and will post new examples shortly - until then...

Designer/Artist, animator and composer available to work on retro-styled and retro game projects (8-bit & 16bit styles working within tight limitations e.g. zx spectrum, commodore 64, 8-bit console specifications and styles and 16 bit ST/Amiga style work with restricted palette, low resolution etc.)

I can provide artwork in many styles covering logos, tile sets, sprites (animations of all kinds), fonts and presentation graphics to suit a range of real retro and retro styled projects; interface design and web design also undertaken.

I specialise in working within very tight restrictions such as those of the commodore 64 and at small scale.

I also compose and create music using trackers and also using modern DAW. Can provide sound in  .SID, .mod, .mp3, .mid and other formats.

I can work within tight deadlines if the scale of the job is appropriate. Rates would be negotiated per job but as examples:

- low resolution low colour sprites (up to 32*32 by up to 32 colours) with looped animations - set of 64 - would be between £100 and £200 depending on complexity of design and animation;

- low resolution low colour tiles (up to 32*32 by up to 32 colours) set of 64 - would be between £100 and £200 depending on complexity of design;

- game music in chip tune style between £50 & £250 per tune depending on duration and complexity.

- music in other styles would need to be negotiated from scratch
