The assets weight 35 MB being a zip, could you provide some simple images of the art style?

I've only seen this posted on PJ before, where feedback usually takes the form of "ooh this is awesome" rather than critique, since it's a gallery for finished work and therefore most nitpicky-type feedback isn't very useful, as it's too late to implement it.

In addition, it's clearly very competently done. People might not feel qualified to give you critique. But at the same time, the apparently-intentional colours are a bit unpleasant to look at, so people might hesitate to give generic positive feedback.

I think I gave feedback on the orange/blue on PJ, but even I was hesitant because the colour use seems deliberately "odd" so I didn't feel that feedback was useful.

Another bit of feedback I can give is the AA is inconsistently applied, which looks a little strange. For example, the dark shadow from the foot is AAed where it meets the dun surface, but not where it meets the orange sky. Similarly, every object seems to only have internal AA, no external AA.

I'd extend the canvas on the left (or crop it on the right) just a little bit so that the character's face isn't so far to the left.

Yeah definitely the AA has to be upgraded in that area. But the thing is that I am completely against external AA for outlined objects, as in my opinion makes the piece feel blurry and 'photographical' in an unpleasant way. I dont think I have ever liked any external AA from what I have seen in other artists works. I know I should have applied it in non-outlined areas, I will try to edit that   ;)

About the orange cloud, I was trying to go for something more psychedelic than realistic. Also I limited myself to Jinn's palette, and that orange was the only colour that I felt fitting for that area (in my opinion).

Finally, when I said that I was not getting feedback I did not meant only critiques, but also positive feedback, not even faves in any media, which made me feel really weird because I usually use faves/comments to rate the quality of my works and to see if I really improved since last time. I know faves are really far from being a reliable way to rate anything, but I was pretty sure this was my best piece yet.  :(

I always say that you have to get the right proportion of those three techniques. Also, what did you do to the pixels fam? they look so messed up

I have been a while without making anything serious, so I decided to test myself a bit today.

Feel free to share your thoughts about it

I dont say this as often as I would like to, but it is pretty good considering it is your first try :y:

The most impressive one is the gonk droid, the palette and the shapes are really well done, I will be looking forward to see your next submissions
