Title: Robot Animation
Post by: coldmage on December 07, 2016, 09:24:13 pm
This the robot I have been working on. I am discontent with the walking animation however:

Haven't we seen this lil guy before/
Anyways, thing I'm noticing right off the bat is that one of the legs shoots up into him straight but the other seems to bend at the knee some, giving him an off-balance appearance. The arms seem to be notably overlaid atop the body, since they don't have a fixed joint area or "tracks" along which they could be meant to slide. Face has the same problem, instead of bounding the whole screen I'd make it slightly larger and bounce the face instead.

Yes! You could also try rotating the body to emphasize the stiffness

Is this what you mean by rotating the body?

If you gonna rotate the body you need to rotate it with each step, Also, if you move a little bit the legs will look better.

Made a quick edit so you can understand what i mean
